Hi all, Long time Bitcoin user here - long time bitcointalker too, though mostly a lurker! I've set up this account, "irishbitcoins", as a prelude to establishing a small Irish Bitcoin exchange with my more technologically astute business partner. Bitcoin is relatively unknown here in Ireland and consequently a lot harder to purchase than it should be. There is, however, interest in integrating Bitcoin as a method of payment from a number of small business owners that I've spoken with. Given current Eurozone uncertainties (and the huge distrust in the banking system here), the idea of a de-centralised, unregulated form of currency would appeal to a large proportion of Irish people if it can be presented properly. It is our intention to make it a simple process for Irish people to learn about Bitcoin, trade Bitcoin, and for Irish businesses to integrate Bitcoin into their payment systems. Having bought a relatively large number of bitcoins when prices were low, we're in a good position for initial face to face trades, and will be able to offer great value introductory pricing when we finally begin trading. This is just the beginning for us; no doubt we'll have many questions to ask, and a lot of groundwork to cover before we begin operating safely and securely, but we hope to be able to contribute positively to the community here, and to the success of Bitcoin in general. Great to meet you all! - IrishBitcoins Hey there if any of this is web based can i help let me know my email is jerrodchekal@hotmail.com

Hi miner96, We will indeed have an online presence in the future; at the moment, however, we're only getting set up and researching as much as possible so as we can put together a safe, secure, user-friendly exchange site. Appreciate the offer of help though, and we may take you up on that at some stage in the future. Cheers! - IrishBitcoins

Hey! I don't think I've done one of these yet, so here we go! - My name's Brandon.
- I'm a White Hat Hacker, helping any site I find with vulnerabilities on the net. I even worked with the website creators for some major music stars. (Will post company names if I get permission)
- My first contact was Bitcoin was the Launch article on it being the most dangerous project they'd ever seen. This prompted me to do my own research, shortly followed by me becoming an avid fan of Bitcoin.
- I would like to move to Sweden someday, except for Stockholm.
- Do NOT let me see you with Boba Tea (aka Bubble Tea aka Milk Pearl Tea aka The Most Delicious Drink Ever). You WILL lose a hand and your Boba.
- I am a self proclaimed Technotarian
That's me in a nutshell ^_^

Hi Everyone! New to the forum, but have been 'lurking' in the Bitcoin world since last summer, as we have been trying to educate ourselves about this fascinating phenomenon. Our parent company, http://www.UseMyServices.com, is a pioneer in the 'real time' bank payments space. We launched in 2002, amid huge skepticism, but survived anyway(!). Our proprietary technology allows consumers to pay for online goods and services directly from their bank accounts - and unlike ACH or ECheck - we actually 'seize' the funds immediately, so the merchants know that the funds are good at the time of the authorization - not 3 to 5 days later. Our services are currently available for consumers in 18 countries, and merchants around the world. We are preparing to launch our new platform, http://www.UseMyCoins.com, very shortly, with the intention of providing new funding options for Bitcoin purchases, through a few key Bitcoin payment processors. We will not be providing wallet services or direct merchant services, but rather will be the 'backbone' platform to these processing partners. As a licensed MSB in Canada, with more than 10 years in high risk processing and alternative payments, we hope to become a trusted partner in the Bitcoin community, and help it grow and prosper around the world! We have also just launched a new crowdfunding project (we have always been entirely self-funded!) at http://www.indiegogo.com/usemycoins. All funds are to be used for adding additional countries to our platform, as it is a very expensive process. We would appreciate any and all support offered - especially in helping to spread the word - your Tweets and Likes are huge right now! Melody

Thank you, John - greatly appreciated! I've spent hours reading here - and have barely made a dent in the resources available. It's a fascinating topic, and we hope to help further the cause -
