Hello,

I've recently become aware of bitcoins, not for the mining, but for the investment and trading purposes, I believe the hay days of mining are behind us, unless you caught the boat early and have used early profits to reinvest in huge mining set ups.

That being said there is still a future here in bit coins, either getting involved in their day to day useage or trading them and therefore I'm following the saga of this new currency with keen interest. Even if the project fails it will of been an entertaining and interesting venture.

Smiley.

Hi there I'm new here..

Yes thats right I'M A NEWBIE! You were a newbie once too..  Roll Eyes

Been mining for a few days now, put together a rig with a couple of 5830's in there.. getting up to 650 Mhash/s with these. Not bad.

Particularly enjoyed the massive increase in mining difficulty today. Sigh.... can eveyone stop mining please  Grin

Good luck!

Elmer saying hi!

Bought some coinage before the mtgox debacle.
Got them into my own wallet and securely encrypted and offline.
Thanks to all who contributed to the "store your wallet securely" thread!

Still crunching the numbers to see if my own mining rig it worth it, or just a hobby to throw money at!  Wink

yo peeps, just joined this site, but have been mining for about a month Smiley

I've got 6 rigs, each with 2 HD 5870 cards, giving me a total of about 6 Ghash/s

Amazingly, I managed to pay off my gear, thanks mostly to NMC mining/price hike the other week and a good bit of luck with speculation of BTC/NMC/$. Will we see that again ?  Would be nice Smiley

I'm back to mining BTC for now, but keeping a close watch on the NMC side Smiley

Hey everybody, I got turned onto Bitcoins when a friend of mine linked me to the bitcoin show... it was pretty hilarious at first (because they didn't know what they were doing) but they learned pretty fast and now it is actually pretty cool, and now I love bitcoins Smiley

New to bitcoins, looking at the very least to pay for the video card I bought to mine with, chugging along at ~270 Mhash.

I heard about Bitcoin 6 months ago, but have been into Bitcoin for about a month. Still trying to wrap my brain around some of the concepts, but enjoying the challenge. Also interested in getting a Bitcoin Market invitation if anyone could help a brotha out? I hope everyone is making progress. Good luck and happy mining!

Hello everyone, I'm a CPA from Texas, feel free to pm me any questions you may have regarding tax related matters. Nothing is known for sure yet on how the IRS will handle BTC, but I will at least let you know how I plan on handling my taxes.

I forgot to do this! Just here to support, too broke to buy and too broke to mine! So until I figure out how to make some coins, I'll keep helping out.

Greetings from Greece.

PS:
Mac's rule at everything BUT bitcoin mining (at least at the moment)...

Chaos could be a form of intelligence we cannot yet understand its complexity.
