Hello,

My name is Christy.  I was scammed by shades minoco, I lost over $300 cuz he lied and said he has a system.  I went to his house to try and figure it out.  He does not even own a computer!  The one he had, he was building for someone.  Don't you need a computer to do mining? I;m a girl, but I'm not stupid.  Can anyone help me locate this fool?

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

An electrical engineer in regional Victoria, Australia. Planning to build a 10kW solar panel system to support a bitcoin rig habit. Predominaetly a Win 7 person only because I haven't used Linux (Redhat & Fedora) for nearly 10 years.

By the way, anyone know when / if the GUIMiner poclbm fix is going to be pushed out or do we need a reinstall?

Use Diablominer or cgminer for now. I have not seen the update yet Gui/PY

It has been 3 days since the error was identified and a solution determined (see GitHub) yet no Windows based solution has been pushed out. Are we trying to kill Bitcoin or help it to grow? *sacrasm intended*

Doing research and Getting ready to start buying parts to put together a miner or two.
I gots server space, and always looking/thinking up new ways to fill it.

Hey there, nice to see you all  Smiley

Still relatively new to bitcoin, but I got recommended this place from a friend of mine (over at another forum in fact). Hoping to make the most of it, even if I am late to the party.

Whats up.  Been mining for about 6 months now.  I love it and am addicted to buying rigs now.

Super interested in the FPGA stuff for sale.  That is why I am here.  And just to study Bitcoin more.

I buy and sell GPUs, most 5850s and 7970s.

Can anyone with some Bit Coin clout address how long it takes to load up all the blocks and process before you can use the bitcoin client?

Even if I come back after a couple of days, it still takes 20 minutes to load and process.

I don't have to do all this with a credit card.    I know theres a technical reason, but isnt there a faster way?  Maybe set up processed blocks from trusted sites?

I'm not sure I understand it all, but I know that this will turn most people off.

just here to learn more.... thanks!

Yep. I came, I saw, I posted. I wonder how that would look in Latin? Probably not as poetic.

Thanks for the great forum.

P.S. I know Sat-oshi Naka-moto likes puzzles.

For Bitcoin to be a true global currency the value of BTC needs always to rise.
If BTC became the global currency & money supply = 100 Trillion then ⊅1.00 BTC = $4,761,904.76.
