Hello, I'm pretty new to Cryptocurrencies, but this Idea and realisation fascinating me.
My first acquaintance with Cryptocurriencies was as friend of my tald me about "mining Solidcoin" it was very interresting and talk a little time to understand Cryptocurriencies.  I'm Software-Develloper using to be very familar with Open Source software espetially with Linux.
I'm sorry about my English, it's not my native language.

Hi, I've been mining for a few months, was a silent member that got caught up in the SIN fiasco on GLBSE, and figured I'd create an account so next time I have a voice Smiley

Hello from Switzerland

I am following bitcoin since June 2011 and since I got fascinated by this technology I am willing to contribute to such an elegant alternative to regular payment systems. I have already rebuilt all our rigs (formerly on boinc projects) to enable mining.

I  have now decided to also join the forums for two reasons:

From technical aspects I was learning a lot in the months since June, mining on win xp, linux and finally fpga`s was a big challenge and joy for the „engineer in me“. I am very grateful for the advice and descriptions provided in the forums, thanks to everybody involved !
There will be some more experience exchange hopefully.

I am the managing director of a private Swiss clinic, offering opiate detox  for international patients since 1996. Our clinic decided to accept bitcoins as payment from now on (an alternative to present payment processors).

Therefore one could not longer say, that bitcoins are for “buying drugs only”, since from this day on, treatment & rehab for painkiller addicts is offered too. We hope that this will be one more small argument for bitcoin to move on in the “real economy”.

This is also a whitelist request, if you can process this we will post some more detailed info about our medical service.  Ann: The first detox clinic worldwide to accept bitcoin !

Almost certainly, but that's not a common topic of conversation in this forum.  Please save that for the 'off-topic' section.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."
