hello
i'm new here :p

i am in france, and i don't find a french website for order bitcoin with french bank account transfert, until the end of the gondrilu website :/
and i see that french peole can't buy with cach directly on paris some bitcoins...
i really think that if not, bitcoin can't have a real developement in france

so i want to do that !
buy and sell bitcoin for bills on paris, and open a website like the gondrilu website !
i will try to use at first the perl applet of gondrilu, or just help him to re-open his website !

Hi, I'm Foxpup, from Australia. I recently found out about Bitcoin and I think it's the greatest thing to happen to the Internet since PGP.

Hi Everyone,
Hello Foxpup,

I live also in Australia. In one of the subburbs of Sydney mertopolitan area. It is like to say that I am one of over 4 milion ants in an anthill.

By profession I am a computer programmer and a typical nerd by character. I write software for last 28 years. Once computers used to be my hobby, but now they are my job. Therefore I turned to photography (of course digital) as hobby.

Hi, I'm Foxpup, from Australia. I recently found out about Bitcoin and I think it's the greatest thing to happen to the Internet since PGP.

Hello there!  I'm fascinated with economics and speculation.  Feel free to speak up if I'm wrong - I'm an amateur and I'm willing to learn.  Let's see how far this undergraduate understanding of economics can get me.

Hi, I've been using bitcoins for about a year (mining with an NVidia GTX 560 Ti, now replaced by an unlocked 6950 at 880MHz) and haven't created an account here 'till now.
There should be a way of using an existing GPG key as a bitcoin account for transactions you don't care about anonymity for... It'd bridge two of my favorite things!

#bitcoin-otc kind of already does this.

That is an IRC chat on freenode.  If you have trouble finding it then you can google it.

Wait, do I throw out the econ textbooks or the grammar textbooks?  Tongue

I'm actually an accounting major so I guess I'm 1/3 of the way there.

Macroeconomics courses (for what I've learned of it by listening to iTunes U lectures from Berkeley) seem pretty accurate as I see them... Although you have to wade through all the garbage about how centralized fiat currencies are somehow sustainable.

Actually, it's rather more the reverse: the core price theory content of microeconomics courses is widely-accepted and time-tested, while there's substantial disagreement about macroeconomics within the profession.

More to the point, you should approach everything you read about economics on this board with a good dose of healthy skepticism. It has at least as many, and probably more, kooks as anywhere else on the 'net...

Hi, I'm Leo Treasure from Perth, Australia. I am interested in promoting Bitcoin professionally. I have a website www.bitcoinsaustralia.com where I will practice my web skills to design up a really nice Bitcoin web site (not the beach backdrop one that's there currently).

Also I am into electronic and sample based music. Anyone from Perth who wants to meet up and chat about bitcoin or do some collaborative work on music please drop me a line! 0435 290 450 Smiley

I just wish I had the equipment to do some mining.

I've got the equipment (a bunch of gaming machines each with one or two high-end RadeonHD cards), I just wish we had cheap enough electricity to make mining even close to profitable. Cry With electricity prices being what they are, the very idea of running all these machines 24/7 at 100% load makes me cringe. A more specialised setup (eg FPGA) would be cheaper, but still nowhere near cheap enough.
