Hello my name is c0in$. I would like to get started with mining as my first project with bitcoin. It seems like the most logical starting point. This forum seems like it will be quite helpful and useful.

wildgift, long time reader, first time poster. I don't mine anymore, and didn't make much when I did. If you're in los angeles and want to read some news, and donate bitcoins: la.indymedia.org. It's been accepting bitcoins a while.

https://cryptostocks.com is a new Bitcoin denominated Stock Exchange. The Exchange is in the final stages of development and targeted to be released on 29th June, sometime around 4PM UTC. In the meanwhile feel free to test out the current deployed version, list a security, issue shares, trade, pay dividends. All the accounts created come with a credit of 1000 BTC. Obviously you cant withdraw them. Needless to say that on the day we activate the Exchange all data will be reset but you get to keep your account. Should you notice any bugs or have any suggestions or recommendations, then contact us at customerservice@cryptostocks.com Will this be similar to glbse because its nice to have competition?

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."
- Carroll Quigley, CFR member, mentor to Bill Clinton, from 'Tragedy And Hope'

Just joined BTCTalk. Just got into the whole mining thing yesterday. Plan on selling virtual currency for BTC and establishing as a reputable reseller.

Hi, all. Been bitcoining for nearly a year--long enough to ride it down from $14, but good to see the stability at $5 and now a bump up. Username is insignificant--autogenerated by Password Safe.
