do i get whitelisted automatically if i have 5 posts?
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I have a couple quick questions for eldentyrell in this post:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=49971.0.  I'm a hardware developer with plenty of relevant background (verilog, c++)....  Probaby spun 25-30 pcbs... analog, digital systems design exp.  Have an FPGA miner running currently.  More of a reader than a poster.

Hello,
I'd like to request a premature whitelisting for the following reasons:
1) I know marginally more than the average newbie
2) I'm trying to buy something for my unreasonably expensive mining rig off of one of your members and I can't reply to his post Smiley
Edit:
3) I started mining last year

Hello,
May I please be allowed to post in other forums. I have been mining using p2pool for roughly two weeks now and feel I have a little more technical know-how than the average BTC amateur.

Anyways, I built my mining rig using parts from Newegg.. thats gotta count for something Smiley

I have a need to be let loose on the forum - I've been mining for a few months now, started out with guiminer, switched to phoenix, and now using cgminer. I was mining with only a single GPU that also doubles as my desktop GPU, but as of today I've added a second GPU to my system and I'm having a configuration problem with cgminer. I posted my very detailed question in the Newbies forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67467.0), but I doubt I'll get any help there, so if possible can it at least be moved to the cgminer forum thread?

I would like to get whitelisted, this newbie forum restriction is rather annoying than a real barrier for trolls and scammers, i bet a great deal of new members just turn around and look for another forum

I have a computer science degree and trade interest futures for a living; I therefore consider that while I am no bitcoin expert per se I am certainly capable of not asking irritating questions, and certainly making five posts to prove it would be a waste of your time and mine.

LET ME OUT OF HERE Angry  Angry

Hi, I'm not a scammer or anything.  I like to come to bitcoin talk to read about mining hardware progress and economy speculation.

I usually just read the threads and don't post.  Unfortunately I haven't been logging in and forgot that I need to track some hours to get out.

I'm really just trying to get in touch with gigavps since I can't find him in IRC. I just had my butterfly labs Bitforce Single arrive. This is extremely frustrating. Why is there this restriction?

Hi, my name is Pavel, I do bitcoin mining for aprox. half a year and I was coming to this forum from time to time but only as a reader so I haven't registered till now
Now when I want to post to the thread of my pool I'm surprised by this newbie forum restriction and find it quite annoying

I would like to be whitelisted simply because I think I'm special. Everyone should have a good self image, don't you think?  Smiley

I've met the minimum requirements, and I want to post in the main forum because I am interested in assisting development of the Bitcoin miner FPGA core.

I have a Digilent Nexys2 and a background in crypto and computer engineering.

Hello,

I've been small-time mining and following Bitcoin since before the $30 spike. I tend to be a lurker by nature. I've got an issue I wish to discuss on the Big a Miner Thing thread, and I also have a possible workaround for someone having a problem there.

I've lurked on a lot of forums for a lot of time. I have a passing knowledge of forum decorum.
