Tonych, what about the possible BOINC project for Byteball? No decision or action yet for that? I'm still looking forward to contribute some computing power for any decent research.
There will be a distribution to World Community Grid contributors soon. I'm currently developing the bot that will link Byteball addresses to WCG accounts. Awesome!  What is the start date for wcg program, if we start boinc now will those points get counted towards byteball distribution? I think this wcg program could really go viral, most people using boinc would have heard about Bitcoin now, and when the advantages of byteball are explained things could explode. |

The points will be counted from the moment your link a Byteball address to the WCG account. Ok cool, I really think this wcg program will make a big impact on byteball adoption, it makes people feel good earning crypto rather than stress about 'wasted' electricity, which honestly is a big negative for crypto adoption. |

I am very excited, too. I really like the idea. Some years ago I was very active on BOINC but somehow I forgot it. I have just reinstalled the client and hope there will be more news soon. It should also give the possibility (maybe a bot setting) to get no Byteballs for participating. As I understand it, ripple XRP were 100% premined and 60% are still hodl'd by the creators. With byteball it was 100% premined and I think 35% are currently hodl'd by creator. So yes quite similar. But byteball not quite as bad. And Tony (byteball creator) still as far as I know 'promising' to distribute all in ways judged to increase the amount of byteball users. (however the timescale for distribution is unknown). |

To the fairness debatte: I think it is fair to reward btc whales more than smaller btc holders, because these are mostly the early adopters. |
