Has anyone tried this beeb-bot? Yes. More than 10,000 GBB have already been traded on BEEB. i tried this but the bot said that textcoin was already claimed. i'm not sure if that means that it was already claimed by somebody and this link/phrases code is not working any longer, or if that means that i have somehow claimed this textcoin without knowing. actually i have not claimed any textcoins yet so it would mean that somebody else used that link already and it is used and not working for others anymore. The textcoin link works only once. More textcoins will be posted. yes, but does that mean it only works once for everybody or does it only work once at all so that only one single person can use this link? because when i did it the first (and only) time it said right from the beginning that it was already claimed (which i didn't do before). so why do you post these links if only one single person can use this?

I think he does it to show this feature of Byteball. With textcoins you can send real bytes through textmessages (E-Mail, Chat, ...) I don't know of any other currency you can do this. But of course you can only claim it once and it is normaly not something to post openly.

I noticed Byteball has a free lottery on Facebook, giving away 3 x 5 MBYTE.
I have another Giveaway idea: Start a giveaway in which every Bitcointalk account which has earned at least 10 Merit points can claim x MBYTE (exclude accounts with red trust to limit (Merit) abusers). The value of "x" can be decided by Tony. If x = 10, it may cost 10 GBYTE per month tops (for 1000 users). That's several orders of magnitude cheaper to reach new users than the airdrop to Bitcoin holders. Optionally, x could be higher for highly rated users. This giveaway can be promoted by signature campaign (I've suggested this before), which could be paid in Blackbytes (to promote usage) from the community fund.
There's more than 300,000 GBYTE left to distribute, this giveaway would cost less than 0.01% of this.
Please share your thoughts on this!
The idea of the airdrop was to get users interested in Byteball and attract new users to Byteball. I was not aware of the lottery on Facebook. Rewarding accounts with merits might not be helpful in attracting new users. Plus you would have to ask members to claim the give away, by installing a wallet. Too much hassle for $5 worth of a coin. Honestly I despise shitcointalk campaigns, but this seems more reasonable than asking people to send their passport and $10 to get $20 of byteball in return.

By now almost 60% has been distributed up till round 9. Does anyone know when the distribution will end?

This time it's different.

It is a bit hard to understand what is happening in the video (mobile without sound). Perhaps you can give a short summary? To make a long story short the network handles 15tps at continous flow rate under current implementation (tested against main net). We start now talking about move things to memory for optimization. There is a #stresstest channel on slack where the discussion is. Tomorrow we will have a last test in a serie of three that will monitor the confirmation time under continous flow rate.

Silent Notary announced on telegram a partnership with byteball. Tomas || SilentNotary, [14.02.18 07:19] [In reply to Manas Bhargava] What exactly? We are partnered with byteball team and gonna use their tech in our project. As we will have a lot of transaction within network their tech is perfectly suitable in our case.

IMHO, it would put more wood on the fire. These days forum has so many fuss around those merits. Byteball community has not to be obsessed with them. Byteball should discover the real life rather than pour the gas into flame.

Ok let's gather a few feedbacks before starting a thread in the Scam Accusation board. I can not believe they are not able to properly sync a wallet.
Ok I opened I preliminary scam accusation vs Cryptopia over the infamous GBYTE wallet issue (withdrawals, deposits and trading). I don't know if they will care about that thread but, hey, this is becoming too much. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2948513.new#new

this could be worth exploring. some things 1. does bitcointalk allow such giveaways? sorry im not up to speed on the exact rules, but I know they dont sometimes 2. in terms of actual distribution, were you thinking e.g. to claim users would just need to send a message from the account with their bytbelall address to prove ownership of the account?

1. does bitcointalk allow such giveaways? sorry im not up to speed on the exact rules, but I know they dont sometimes Altcoin giveaways are allowed, as long as you don't incentivise people to post for it. Requesting an address by PM is allowed, a signature campaign for it is allowed too. 2. in terms of actual distribution, were you thinking e.g. to claim users would just need to send a message from the account with their bytbelall address to prove ownership of the account? I didn't really thing about the "how" yet, but this should work.

Remember Byteball is not a Litecoin clone which means the devs at Cryptopia need to learn how make Byteball wallets for an exchange.

I heard that contacting the New Zealand Commerce Commission could help light a fire under Cryptopia. If you would like to help, please also send them an email. Here is the body of the message I've sent to contact@comcom.govt.nz: Greetings New Zealand Commerce Commission, I am writing you today regarding Cryptopia / cryptopia.co.nz , a New Zealand business. Said company is a cryptocurrency exchange. Part of the function of a cryptocurrency exchange is to temporarily act as a custodian of customer funds in the form of cryptocurrency, while the customer is trading those funds and until the customer requests to withdraw those funds. Cryptopia, however, has disabled the ability of many customers to withdraw certain types of cryptocurrency without a reasonable explanation as to why, and without a reasonable effort to restore the critical withdrawal function. In my case, I've been waiting 2 months already, and in another 2 weeks a dividend payment to which I am entitled will be paid to Cryptopia. This situation has led some to suggest that Cryptopia is purposely scamming customers, that they are insolvent, or that they will soon cease operations and run away with customer funds. Please see the following page for information about the specific cryptocurrency of which Cryptopia has dispossessed me. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2948513I strongly suggest that the Commission looks into this matter towards resolution before it spirals out of control and brings a cascade of bad press to New Zealand. Kind Regards, Feel free to use any portions of this in your own email.

Sure, one fixed. And what about the other coins? They are not all top 100 coins. They are likely dead projects. The only one I recognize there is Augur, but they don't give a shit because they have plenty of exchanges. WE DO NOT. Let me be clear, I am not defending Cryptopia and their horrid support -- I am just pointing out (as has been done numerous times) that we do have an issue to address. How can new users even obtain GBYTE? They can't unless they want to sign up to one of two very small exchanges without volume. Cryptox and Upbit.
