I noticed Byteball has a free lottery on Facebook, giving away 3 x 5 MBYTE.
I have another Giveaway idea: Start a giveaway in which every Bitcointalk account which has earned at least 10 Merit points can claim x MBYTE (exclude accounts with red trust to limit (Merit) abusers). The value of "x" can be decided by Tony. If x = 10, it may cost 10 GBYTE per month tops (for 1000 users). That's several orders of magnitude cheaper to reach new users than the airdrop to Bitcoin holders. Optionally, x could be higher for highly rated users. This giveaway can be promoted by signature campaign (I've suggested this before), which could be paid in Blackbytes (to promote usage) from the community fund.
There's more than 300,000 GBYTE left to distribute, this giveaway would cost less than 0.01% of this.
Please share your thoughts on this!
this could be worth exploring. some things 1. does bitcointalk allow such giveaways? sorry im not up to speed on the exact rules, but I know they dont sometimes 2. in terms of actual distribution, were you thinking e.g. to claim users would just need to send a message from the account with their bytbelall address to prove ownership of the account?

1. does bitcointalk allow such giveaways? sorry im not up to speed on the exact rules, but I know they dont sometimes Altcoin giveaways are allowed, as long as you don't incentivise people to post for it. Requesting an address by PM is allowed, a signature campaign for it is allowed too. 2. in terms of actual distribution, were you thinking e.g. to claim users would just need to send a message from the account with their bytbelall address to prove ownership of the account? I didn't really thing about the "how" yet, but this should work.

Ok let's gather a few feedbacks before starting a thread in the Scam Accusation board. I can not believe they are not able to properly sync a wallet.
Ok I opened I preliminary scam accusation vs Cryptopia over the infamous GBYTE wallet issue (withdrawals, deposits and trading). I don't know if they will care about that thread but, hey, this is becoming too much. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2948513.new#newMaybe Cryptopia is having the same issues when they added Nano XRB way before. Remember Byteball is not a Litecoin clone which means the devs at Cryptopia need to learn how make Byteball wallets for an exchange.

I heard that contacting the New Zealand Commerce Commission could help light a fire under Cryptopia. If you would like to help, please also send them an email. Here is the body of the message I've sent to contact@comcom.govt.nz: Greetings New Zealand Commerce Commission, I am writing you today regarding Cryptopia / cryptopia.co.nz , a New Zealand business. Said company is a cryptocurrency exchange. Part of the function of a cryptocurrency exchange is to temporarily act as a custodian of customer funds in the form of cryptocurrency, while the customer is trading those funds and until the customer requests to withdraw those funds. Cryptopia, however, has disabled the ability of many customers to withdraw certain types of cryptocurrency without a reasonable explanation as to why, and without a reasonable effort to restore the critical withdrawal function. In my case, I've been waiting 2 months already, and in another 2 weeks a dividend payment to which I am entitled will be paid to Cryptopia. This situation has led some to suggest that Cryptopia is purposely scamming customers, that they are insolvent, or that they will soon cease operations and run away with customer funds. Please see the following page for information about the specific cryptocurrency of which Cryptopia has dispossessed me. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2948513I strongly suggest that the Commission looks into this matter towards resolution before it spirals out of control and brings a cascade of bad press to New Zealand. Kind Regards, Feel free to use any portions of this in your own email.

Sure, one fixed. And what about the other coins? They are not all top 100 coins. They are likely dead projects. The only one I recognize there is Augur, but they don't give a shit because they have plenty of exchanges. WE DO NOT. Let me be clear, I am not defending Cryptopia and their horrid support -- I am just pointing out (as has been done numerous times) that we do have an issue to address. How can new users even obtain GBYTE? They can't unless they want to sign up to one of two very small exchanges without volume. Cryptox and Upbit.

Their latest update was in Dec 16 https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003463331-New-Account-Sign-Ups

I should have exchanged my GBYTE over the exchange bots we have on the wallet. I should have never used cryptopia in the first place. I think we should start being more supportive over those dex we have on byteball

i have got question about "Fair initial distribution" that is to be held on the 2nd of March. Is 1GB minimal requirement to get distribution if formula "For every 1 GB you receive additional 0.1 GB." Or one can also claim GB with less than 1GB in wallet?

Yes. Don't forget to link a Bitcoin address through the Transition Bot, to receive Blackbytes.

I am a little bit confused about the next distribution. First I thought there will be an upcoming full moon distribution on March. Then I read a blog article on Byteball Medium blog which says there will be distribution only for new and existing Byteball accounts which do a verification. What information is correct? Or are both correct?

Both are correct. There will be distribution on 2th march. If you verify your identity and hold until then, you will receive a 10% extra bytes. This will be probably the last airdrop.

Where is the announcement of these extra 10% Bytes for KYC, I can't find anything about it on Medium ot the Byteball website? That means I have to do this Jumio KYC thing if I want the extra Bytes? I thought that's only for Referral rewards.

Isn't the bot on the Byteball wallet use Changelly to actually effect the exchange? If that is the case, I am not sure it will still work. Changelly seems to have removed support for Byteball. The fee of 0.75% for the bots also has a damping effect, given that exchanges charge almost negligible fees.
