Welcome to the latest update of SGMiner-GM: sgminer-gm-5.5.5!

SGMiner-GM is a revitalization of the sgminer project, brought to you by Genesis Mining - the leading hashing power provider.

This project is maintained by Philipp Otterbein, OhGodAGirl and Wolf.

Ubuntu
Source

ZCash Config
XMR Config
Ethereum Config

Changes this version include:

- Zawawa's Gateless Gate integration!

There are a few bugs - namely:
- gpu-powertune NEEDS to be removed from your configuration file if you're not using kernel 4.9 or later.
- gpu-powertune is not in percentage, but in wattage when using the AMDGPU driver.
- It may be necessary to disable sysfs hardware management by enabling no-adl when using the AMDGPU driver.
- XMR algorithm switching is untested.

From looking at the code, I see this is not Wolf's custom GCN assembler kernel.  It's a tweaked version of the standard ethminer OpenCL kernel.  I'll try it out anyway.

edit: tested it in a rig with an R9 380 and R7 370.  On the 380 the speed is indistinguishable from Genoil's, and the 370 is about 10% slower (even after playing with worksize/intensity).

Wipe ethos, install Ubuntu, then you'll have full control of your mining rig.

It's for AMD GPUs. We've not tested nor optimized it for Nvidia. At all.

What other algos does this miner support?  Is it only Ethereum?

It's sgminer with Ethereum support - so all the algorithms regular sgminer supports.

From looking at the code, I see this is not Wolf's custom GCN assembler kernel.  It's a tweaked version of the standard ethminer OpenCL kernel.  I'll try it out anyway.

Aye, the kernels aren't included. They were sold exclusively, after all. We may make a public kernel in the future.

But still - there is no nvidia support even nvidia does OpenCL.
They using AMD APP Framework for detection of OpenCL Device..so any word from the dev?=

It does not support Nvidia. Wolf doesn't develop for Nvidia cards. AMD only.

So its claymores miner but all spiffy and fancy in terms of function?

No - it's sgminer with Ethereum support. If it was Claymores miner, it would have a fee.  Tongue

claymores miner have dual-mining capability by that it justifies the fee.

sgminer-gm performs worse than genoils miner which has no fee either.

either make the kernel public or get lost.

Dual mining, no problem, start sgminer, start another instance with another algo, yup, you're dual mining..

performs worse? Nah! On Hawaii even better! Just gotta set the correct intensity and work size.
