It's probably easier and more profitable just to release this with a dev fee.
These type of comments seem to be coming only from the US in the evening. Most of the day everything is fine in the rest of the world.

Mom and dad are so angry, why?
What do you mean and how old are you? 12?

45. And that list stays.

edit:

Tried really hard and it looks like I am 46.

Someone is going to post soon here in this thread how he/she got fucked by claymore. rx 480 doing less than hd 290? This is someones fault. Who is paying?

while i appreciate the constant speed increases. am i the only one who thinks we are being dripfed these as the diff goes up and the price drops. these speed increases are only keeping our mining income roughly the same. why is it that we can't get the full speed right off and actually make some money from this rather than the same old story of the big money men make the most.

Completely optimizing the code to best work with a new algorithm takes time. Has nothing to do with price of the currency compared to the miner's new version release dates.

I believe we're getting pretty close to the limit on Sol/s.

you are very wrong

Well fkin speak up dude O.o, sure there's a great possibility Claymore has been holding out so he can make some big bucks on the side but unless you have evidence of this then you're just spitting conspiracy theories.

Not only Claymore programmer. Do not forget Pascal much more powerful GPU. Do you think that for him there is not a secret private powerful miner?

Its not about who is a better programmer. You might have missed this awesome thread from nerdralph talking about limits: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1679855
Fantastic read and explains pretty well what we are up against,looks like we might be close to the limit with 470 480 cards,might put an end to conspiracy theories if those thinking Claymore has been holding back with his software! It looks very much like he has done his very best for us and I am very thankful,speed race almost over.

It looks like at least rx 470 seems to be more compute bound than memory bound with v7, my sapphire 4gb nitro cards get no benefit from putting memory clock above 1750mhz, but core clock improves speed a lot. In my tests it looks like 1000mhz = ~120 sol/s, 1100mhz = ~140 sol/s, 1200 mhz, ~155 sol/s . Those speed improvements come in with increased power draw, i was able to run 1000mhz at 800mv, 1100 requires 850 or 875mv depending on card ASIC quality. At 1000 mhz rx 470 isn't any faster with v7 version, it's pretty much exactly the same as v6.

can we make a thread about conspiracy theories regarding miner developers in a separate thread?....you know.. i love stories and conspiracies but not here..i'll contribute to brainstorming in a separate thread  Wink

That's what you think. Do not you know that there are private miners for Zcash? Do you know what which means private miner in general? Do not you know that it is made  several private miners? All of them are sold to only several person for a fixed price. All they can have enormous performance.

So, how much is 470/ 480 doing on 7.0? ZEC solo mining?

Anyone?

I wonder more if they just don't know how to do math.  R9 290/X & R9 390/X have a 512bit memory bus vs 256bit for the RX 480's & 470's
A base R9 290 has a 1250MHz memory clock multiply by 8, "64/512," and  you get 10000
A base RX 480 8GB has a 2000MHz memory clock  multiply by 4, "64/256," and you get 8000
so your memory bandwidth is 20% lower
As we all should know by now higher mem clocks = Higher latency
getting  your ram to have a lower than 7.5ns turn around is ideal

If you don't believe just look at DDR3 vs DDR4, at same speed DDR3 wins almost hands down because of lower timings.

i want back to time when claymore didnt release optimized old card, this is ruined zec mining, all those new card stuck like hell
except the nano's hash rate is pretty amazing with low power cunsumption 205 h/s / 80 watt
RX series 90 watt at 0.9v core doing 160hs

He didnt optimize old GPUs, the old GPUs were better for GPU compute than the RX series.

For many algos the Tahiti is KING due to its architecture design.

Tahiti => Mercedes V12
RX Polaris => Toyota Prius

Mining with one rx480 doing 170 at the rig but oscillating between 100 and 180 at the mine with a 140 average. With version 6 was oscillating 10% from 150. I might go back to v6 until this is fixed.
