The pool minin at https://max.mining4all.eu gives lot so Yys and ver few Boos, ut I have no ideea if it works or not. So far very small returns 0.3 maxcoinf for 6 hours. The VTC seems more profitable as I seen so far.

Seems much better than hashfaster, it rarely gives me duplicates, but even than, it doesn't freeze for few seconds.

And once vardiff kicks things into high gear, the GPU utilization improves:

Hmm. I edited the lines and replace min (x,y) with if and it appears to compile without problems, and running so far.

Pff.2 very crazy days and nights. I came here after christians post on the nvidia cuda forum. I went through 100 pages until finally managed to compile cudaminer and the wallet, just to find that it is too late. Anyway I tried the latest version and I get the same error as in the quote. The previous version I have is from 7th  I think.


This maxcoin is madness, I am doing some solo mining and some in the pools. In both cases I have no ideea if the work is accepted all, or just 10 %. The solo miner reports no errors, just new work. You are not alone to be too late. I was in this cudaminer thread before it got crazy, hoping there would be something for maxcoin. When I found there was a leaked miner in another part of internet and posted here, Christian already had found another source =)
I had it compiled and ready the night before launch, thanks to Christian.
I set up everything to be ready to mine in a few minutes after launch. The launch of maxcoin fucked all up for me. I am on Arch and the binaries didn't work, as expected on Arch. Tried the source. The qt and daemon didn't compile. Well well, I had a pool as backup plan. Their official one announced on their webpage just to be sure. That one went down at launch, and didn't come up until next day. Ok, lets fix the source... no luck, plenty of missing and ugly code. Let's try wine, no luck there either, I couldn't connect to the wallet with my miner (same issue with other wallets, something with wine probably). Back to the source code... Which I gave up after 3hrs. I gave up on that shitty coin. 24 hrs later some of the source code was fixed so I could compile the qt, but not the daemon. I have an empty wallet now, and I am pissed of at Max, because he call the launch "minor issues".

I know this topic has been covered well before, but it's just too hard to find valuable information from these 300 pages even with the search, so...
I'm currently trying to learn the tricks of optimizing for scrypt-jane based coins. I have a 4GB Gtx 680, mining microcoin atm.
THe best settings I found so far (cudaminer 2014-02-07):  -i 0 -H 2 -l K8x32
Gives around 333 Kh/s.

I tried playing around with -L and -s settings, but couldn't find anything that improved.
You can hand feed me, or point me to previous posts here. I just don't know where to start really, except the readme file which was useful.

scrypt-jane is memory hard, but microcoin is at a low N-factor meaning that you still have enough memory on your video card to make use of all computational resources.

That is why you do not need all the 4GB of RAM in order to get best performance and that is also why the lookup-gap does not help you at the moment.

Try mining some Yacoin and then you willl notice how memory-starved you get.

If I use the fastest setting, this will error our even more quickly.  This is a 780ti.

Settings for this stack :
-i 1 -m 1 -C 0 -l T30x16

Fastest settings that will error out more quickly :
-i 0 -m 1 -C 0 -l T15x24


Any ideas?  I can grab the latest build even though it only mentions maxcoin stratum fixes.

Vertcoin is currently very profitable.

Moreso than Maxcoin?

I checked two hours ago. Diff drops 30% but the price drop 50% as well. Still none in comparison to Maxcoin. But if you still want to mine scrypt-jane coins, mine UTC or MRC. My profit calculator said UTC 2x and MRC 1.5x more profitable than VTC.

if you're not doing any maxcoin, maybe stick with the 2014-02-04 release for the time being.

I am not sure why CUDA would spit out an "unknown error". Too much of a GPU overclock maybe?

Looks like it's back now if you want to cash out coins. I recommend setting a low auto payout so you don't lose much in case of pool issues.
