Doing some shady activity will make you want to hide your real identity, with the help of bitcoin I can gamble without compelling myself to submit my real information and this is a great benefits of using bitcoin. It's not that I choose between the two because I believe they are both useful, I use fiat or bitcoin depending on the situation.
Dont get me wrong I am not an expert. But bitcoin is controled by the people, we dont realize if we hold that drives up the price, but the whales who own the majority of the bitcoin know that they can control the people (not bitcoin). So they sell a bunch of bitcoin at once which drives down the price and at the same time while the price is crashing they buy more bitcoin. So when the people who are afraid of losing more money sell their coins the whales buy them all up, and when there are no more weak hands to sell the whales start to drive up the price because they bought the coins at a discount and they need to sell the coins. If you want to get rich like a whale you have to think like a whale. |

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.
How is this ANY different than fiat currency at present? For starters fiat currency has a massive lead over bitcoin when it comes to gambling,DL porn, and buying drugs. It's not even close. Secondly if it's legal than this is a morality issue for you bud, not a technical one. Bitcoin isn't anonymous and is not to blame for your views of what's an unhealthy part of society or what isn't. |

the ease of transferring money from one point to another and its secured transactions..you can do this at home or anywhere which has internet connections unlike fiat money you cannot send it online unless you have a bank account., but sometimes bank account transactions needs longer time to process for example holidays or something, bitcoins is more easy to use.

One of the reason why they choose bitcoin over fiat because they are getting a lot of benefits from bitcoin like fast profits from just holding their bitcoin for a few days or weeks which is an advantage already compared to fiat that even though you hold it for a very long time then you will still not make a lot of money and you will just lose value from it. |

yeah, bitcoin is popular in illegal things, we can see that illegal thing in this world usually paid with bitcoin like selling drugs and etc. ive heard a rumor that bitcoin is used in deepweb, so if you buy the services or anything else you can pay with bitcoin. so why bitcoin is used for bad thing.. i think hecause bitcoin is untraceable. so the police cant trace who is the sender and who is the buyer

Some people prefer bitcoin over fiat because on some places bitcoin is tax free. I guess it's not bad to use bitcoin for something as long as you're not breaking any law/rules from your place. There's much more misuses of btc but if we continue this discussion it's getting kinda off topic when the title is about bitcoin and fiat.
I agreed with this statements because due to high taxes in other country in making the business, other people prefer to used Bitcoin rather than making a business with a over pricing taxes. |

More people use fiat for those purpose than those who use bitcoins for them. However media who want exposure will just publish articles about how criminals use bitcoins for such purpose just to get a click from those who aren't involved in bitcoin and curious about it. Also there're people using bitcoin over fiat in e.g. online transactions because they can't trust a bank so they don't have a credit card. They thus use bitcoin as a medium of payment. Others may just get advantage from some sites offering bonuses to customers paying with bitcoin. People prefer Bitcoin over fiat because of its blockchain technology. Bitcoin has a features of security control, availability and faster transaction with lesser charges. When it come to misuse of Bitcoin it depend upon the person on how he or she use it iether in bad or good coz I know that he or she are responsible to thier action. |

Bitcoin notoriously used in the dark web anyway. Fortunately, it has been developed for something better than that. We need it to disrupt expensive traditional banking system to send and receive money everywhere. Besides, a lot of startups have been established using blockchain technology. |

Bitcoin can really be used in illegal ways by some people. This is also true with cash. It's hard to control them and the only thing we can do is to rely with authorities to stop them. But this doesn't mean that we should stop using bitcoin or other digital currencies. It's the people who are using them for bad deeds that should be stop.

Bitcoin is safer when it comes to carrying out transactions, its fast and very reliable.Fiat doesn't increase in valuation while BTC does. BTC is also accepted across borders and doesn't need exchange. Carrying around a big amount of fiat isnt as safe as carrying the same value in fiat

Using bitcoin over fiat allows users to secure payments and store money without using their name or going through a bank. Currency that are government regulated, can't give you such possibility.

Bitcoin is created to be currency. About buying drugs or any negatif things is depend on the users. But I think some people prefer bitcoin over fiat becouse of the price of fiat. If the price of fiat fall its become not worth so I think people choose bitcoin to safe their wealth. I agree with you. BITCOIN is getting more popular day by day because of the profit we can earn .Also for online transactions cryptocurrency is the best option and among all cryptocurrencies BITCOIN is the best. |

I believe that Bitcoin wasn't made for bad purpose but some people misused it's technologies. Keep in mind that every single thing in this world can be misused. A knife can be used to cut onions but it can be used to kill people. Money can be used to buy food but it can be used to rent a hitman. Same applies to bitcoin. It depends on the users. |

For me its really inevitable, Sorry. But considering it as a new currency then comparing it to the old one which is the Fiat kind of currency, they use this paper money also on drugs, sex, ETC. So if we are to implement it in the world, theres gonna be a lot more of it doing some negative things with this coin. I also get what your saying that it shouldn't be use in that kind of way and I Agree with you, its just that its really Inevitable considering how our world works.
