I believe that the people prefer bitcoin nowadays over fiat money mainly because bitcoin can be transfered althroughout the world with no tax and  third party programs that will interfere. Also because of bitcoin's privacy it is so private that when you do a transaction its still hidden or private. One more is going out holding cash is more safe because you can never know when acciewnts will happen.

People prefer Bitcoins over fiat simply because it gives them freedom any anonymity. It is flexible and convenient because it makes exchange of goods and services faster. Bitcoins along with other cryptocurrencies are also a way to escape taxes because it is decentralized. Hence no one, not even the government, can trace and track your transactions even if its illegal. This became a disadvantage for Bitcoin. It attracts illegal transactions and other bad works such as enjoying porn sites anonymously. Of course Bitcoins weren’t made for that.

For now, what I can see that make sense in terms of holding and accumulating bitcoins is just for investment - hoping that its price will continue to rally high and not to act as our usual fiat money because doing so is not practical as it is quite expensive fees to have small frequent small purchases.

It is a sad news, whether you heat it on the internet or not. If people would think if that way, we could not clear there minds with its first impression. People who take advantage on it are at stake or made the economy of bitcoin more abolished and banned. And for us to change that mind setting, we have to start it first from us. What do people currently do with Fiat. Literally everything you stated above and more. And what is our current society like? If you want society to change you will need more than money as the catalyst.

In regards to BTC, so what if that is how it is currently used. We are limited on the amount of businesses that accept crypto. So in the beginning, just like the internet, it will be used for porn, gambling, and drugs.
