Some people prefer bitcoin over fiat because on some places bitcoin is tax free. I guess it's not bad to use bitcoin for something as long as you're not breaking any law/rules from your place. There's much more misuses of btc but if we continue this discussion it's getting kinda off topic when the title is about bitcoin and fiat.
other than that bitcoin is so high in value that compared to having a lot of money and risk so many people switch to save it as bitcoin, if used for crime consequently will be punished also |

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.
Some use it that way but i bet btc is created by the founder not because of that reason. I also hate the way they uses it except in gaming. I have tried these and I don't think adding this up will degrade the detrimental percíeption on bitcoin. I think that the greatest thing that makes btc name more ugly instead that you will think of trading and great opportunities are: Those scams circulating arpund the internet world that uses bitcoin name. They even been circulating around 10x greater than this forum does. Bitcoin was created particularly to avoid detection of personal profile. Although it is also designed to be very transparent, transactions cannot be traced to the persons involved. It is decentralized as well. These features were good. However, unintentionally, Satoshi Nakamoto was also kind of offering a better way for these crooks to transact in a much safer and private way their illegal activities. |

Bitcoin is better than flat because it can be used to access a lot of internet transactions and remain their identity hidden. Another thing is that, bitcoin has a higher currency exchange than any flat currency.

I think it is the peoples own choice where they want to use their crypto.... if money involves crime also follows and we cannot deny that it is the dark side of bitcoin... me too I am dismay because bitcoin is not meant for that thing.. but I think now lets take advantage of what this tech can gave now |

Bitcoin and fiat are both secure however, the good thing with bitcoin is that is not subject to government regulations and that there is a limited amount of it compared to fiat where government can print as many fiat paper as they could which in turn will eventually lead to inflation and the value of fiat is going down as these happens.. |

some people prefer to use bitcoin because it is easy to use especialy when your on to buying and selling online and it doees not require any information unlike credit cards or other forms of online payment that is a much hasel and time consuming and also exposing your identity to someone else you dont yknow . thats why most people and business men nowadays are using bitcoin for their convinient. |

so its because transaction in Bitcoins occurs instantly, You pay a very small amount of fee for any transaction, Bitcoin rates against fiat currencies worldwide fluctuates a lot and the profits (and losses) could be very dramatic very soon, Bitcoin Network is Secure, Bitcoin transactions are anonymous. so the reasons behind ppl prefer bitcoin over fiat is security, fast transaction and universal nature.

Bitcoin is indeed a good investment. Even if you let it sit in your wallet, its price will still goes up. And every transaction is safe because there is no physical money. No one can rob it from you. Plus, there is no hassle in paying things, just swipe and click and you paid already. |

Well i think, maybe because of bitcoin there is a chance to grow your money than fiat, if you save your money the price after a year is nothing to change, unlike bitcoin that have a chance to grow your money after you save.

I think most people right now are using Bitcoin as an asset, they are expecting Bitcoin price to rise and if that happen then they will have more asset. I don't think Bitcoin is regularly used in real life, I would say that if someone is going to commit crime then they will use Monero or Dash or DO.

That is the ultimate reason why we use bitcoin because not all people are going to adopt or even the majority since the majority has still trusted the old system. Government laws and rules should be followed and they will not endorse bitcoin as currency to substitute fiat, the real reason why we are using it is because we want to consider it as our investment and to fulfill our big dreams. |
