[PRIVATE PUSHPOOL SETUP GUIDE]

Thanks for the write up, Dreamwatcher!  I'll have to give this a try.

I can see how this would be useful during the initial stages of a new alt coin if the initial difficulty is low and blocks are flying by at amazing speed.

Out of curiosity, how much of a performance gain would using a private pushpool offer when mining an established scrypt coin like Litecoin, versus mining straight through the litecoin daemon?  Just a ballpark figure if you have any sense of it.

I have read many different values:

To me it appears to average out at about 3-5%, depending on how many miners you have connecting to the pool. Each miner adds to the chance of working on a stale block when the block changes before the miners getwork.

Network hashrate is huge, you haven't found a block yet.

Nothing, it's working as it should...

Now wait for one of those lines to say "ACCEPTED"

I'm mining in the client itself (but I set up a my .conf in appdata)

Is it normal to see nothing at all but the client tells me I'm mining?

You should be able to hover over the mining icon in the bottom-right and see your mining hashrate.

Yes. Look in console for more detailed messages.

Oh, ok! Thank you. I became confused, because when i ran miner first time i got a lots of Rejected and 3 Accepted in 1 minute (which are not shown in Transactions tab now). Then i reconfigured miner's config, by adding "expiry" : "1", and now i see this "New block detected on network"

Pool is working great

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://fpool1.zapto.org:19327 -u YourFCAddress -p x -s 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --expiry 1 -I 13

Stats you can check out here http://fpool1.zapto.org:19327/static/

Hopefully siteowner will share his p2pool mod with the rest of us Smiley

There needs to be a pool that's not P2Pool.

Also, what's the going rate for BTC/FC and LTC/FC?
