For years now I keep reading "...when Bitcoin takes off.." or "...in the future, Bitcoin will become...."

It has already taken off.

We are living it.

The future of Bitcoin is here, and now.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Keep drawing paths for BTC... one of these times you'll nail it Wink

Maybe...doubt it though.
Not going to stop me from trying anyway.  ^.^

#dyor #btfd.

Sideways is still going on as whales try and get cheap coins...this will continue with local highs and lows until around the middle end of April as far as I can tell. Rockets in store for the late spring early summer imho.
The next 29 days are critical.

Still above the swamps of anger, bouncing along the edge of the ravine.  Our ability to stay out the swamps for the past month is a good sign.  I think badger did exceptionally well this weekend - am very pleased with the furry critter’s performance.

Does anyone have a good chart showing side by side comparison with 2014 crash?

Early Monday morning in Japan and we get greeted with a big dump.  I suppose Kobayashi has nothing to do with this, but he's convenient to blame.  Angry

If you would consider the internet to be "here and now" around 10-20 years ago, then I'd agree. So far Bitcorns are still very much fringe. Everybody knows they exist but nobody really knows what the fuck it is. Who knows how quickly we'll snowball into mainstream usage though. With progress accelerating we might actually end up buying coffee with Bitcoins in the early 2020s.

For the record, I have bought both coffee and sandwiches with Bitcoin.  Yes fees did become an issue, particularly with online wallets that did not allow custom fees to be set and skimmed profit off the top of the fees.  I'm looking at you, Bread.

Looking forward to lightning for regular consumers.  The real jump will happen when we have an IOS wallet that runs lightning for every day users.  I imagine that's still about a year away.

I really have no proof that Kobayashi had anything to do with this latest dump. I just want to blame him since the biggest red 15 minute candle just happened to occur at about 7:45am-8:00am Japan time, Monday morning. Could have been any asshole bear whale who got this going. Could be Spoofy's fault.

Didn't someone set up a website to monitor the gox coins for movement?

Guess that I am placing blame on the wrong entity. No coins moved recently according to the web page.

Yeah, 1.5 billion USD in BTC to dump to get mt. gox out of liquidation ...IMHO that all has to hit this year...I can't see with permission to sell BTC to wrap this up the

liquidators are gonna be doing this into next year...the whole purpose of a liquidation on a bankruptcy is to dump get as much USD as possible and out with your fee...

but they seem to be doing it in the most KLUTZ way possible...so if they dump it all or just plain in a wrong manner ..we could easily be back to 2k btc

so yeah, everything else about mt. gox was a complete cluster why should this part be any different

as stated above, no coins moved from mt. gox recently...but if BTC dumps down to 7k say...I bet we see dumping (it is how he has rolled in the past..dumps on the lows and

makes them lower)

They said they sold OTC without announcing to the market first.  If you take US$300 million out of the market, the market is going to feel it.  Crypto is too thinly traded at the moment to absorb that sort of selling pressure no matter how it is done.

82-8300 should hold. If we get a pump afterwards maybe the death cross can be avoided if we can stay at 10k.

If these Mt Gox guys are responsible for this insane crash lie they were in 2013 they ought to be sued for damages and locked up. Thats the regulation I support!

The bankruptcy makes Mt Gox immune to further civil damages. Now it is in the hands of the Bankruptcy court to liquidate the assets and distribute them. Karpeles trial is still pending. I suspect that he won't be getting much jail time if convicted. I suspect that all of the extra proceeds from the liquidation will end up in the nation of Japan's coffers after a huge fine is imposed.
