How much lower can this go, I don’t want to be seeing below $6,000 but it really wouldn’t surprise me. We’ve been in free fall for months.

Most of the ppl in Crypto (speculation) have a very short time horizon.  A days action may seem like a lot.

They find it difficult to see the longer term picture. That is why there is so much conflicting opinion.

A view on price always has the caveat of a time frame.

Its not only that. There is always this menace that bitcoin will be crushed to the ground by speculators, banks and governments, and will never rise again. Everytime someone talks about "regulation" is always posed as a threat, even if it would mean only regulating exchanges to halt crashes like this.

And when the bears made predictions, they always extend the timeframe of their bear market, to convince people their long positions are threatened. The bears use as a base for their predictions the Mt.Gox crash, which caused the 2013-2015 bear market, giving the impression it was three years, when in fact it was one year and some months (from last months of 2013 to first months of 2015). This is hammered constantly, and people are afraid to buy and lose money in the next day, which pushes the price down as there is no buying volume. Without this volume the price wont recover.

However, this is not 2014. We are in a different situation. There was no LN in 2014, no futures markets, no G20 hearings. You could not buy a car with bitcoin in 2014. So this bear market can revert at any minute, and no bear can predict it.

Banksters still have that Tether joker in their hands. If that one pops, probably back to 3 digits?

I can understand how the price could be manipulated by buying a shitload of BTC in the Non/Dec ‘17 run up and then causing panic by dumping it all.

Simple. You make legal bitcoin businesses pay as much taxes for 2017 as possible! Dec pump then Jan, Feb and March dump to make them sell as much bitcoins as possible during Q1 to meet their 2017 tax obligations. Expect we are very much near the bottom for the entire 2018 right now.

Let's all see things in perspective, I mean 2years ago we were at 300, last year this time we were at 1K, this summer about 2K, what other investment could possibly do better?
And indeed this is not 2014, it's a entirely different setting

This guy made me laugh and put things into perspective :-D hilarious

There should be resistance at about $6100. That was the lowest it went on February 6th. A double bottom there would be bullish.

I doubt it will go that low, but I'm buying if it does.

I know this is facetious humor, and I chuckled as well. But that video summarizes literally everything wrong about the people in the crypto space right now. Notice not a single mention of actually *buying* things with bitcoin, that was trivialized/parodied as well.

Sad where Bitcoin is going. If the price stabilized or went nowhere for a decade, would these people even buy and hold it? Would they purchase things with it? Or would they stick to the corrupt fiat financial system that is enslaving them?

I would LOVE to see Bitcoin's price stabilize and go nowhere for a decade. It would wash away all of these get-rich-quick idiots.

Resistance or not. Just bought more. Is there anybody here who thinks that we won't ever see that $20k price tag again?

Maybe 5 years later but it'll happen that's for sure.

We’ll see a new ATH before the end of 2021 as a result of the halving in May 2020. It’s happened after every single halving. The block reward for miners will be 6.25 bitcoin’s.

It’s all about supply & demand. It’s damn near certain there will be less supply which should as has always been the case so far, make the price rise significantly.

I’m HODLING & ready for then.....ARE YOU !!!!

Hold it for long enough and it will be worth over $100k. If the price goes lower buy more.

Jimbo bought at $275 on January 11th 2015. NotLambchop  called him a dickhead for it, and all his previous buys on the way down. Jimbo held, and every coin he bought for a few hundred dollars is now worth $7k.

...
And permabears gonna permaFUD.

Protip:  It's called facts.  If you just listened, your "holdings" would be worth twice what they are right now.
