^Anyone have a tl;dr for those books?

(((Them))) oppressing us.

The only one I didn't get through was The Handmaid's tale; having already read Atlas Shrugged, I felt like I was in for another excruciatingly painful read and I just couldn't.  Maybe someday, if somebody threatens to burn all the copies of that book... Naw.

-one question for me personal, those anyone else besides JJG thinks I work this forum account with what he says a "team" ??

Nope.

Are you sure?  I remember some hot blonde chick in quite a few of his photos and a cute dog.  Those 3 could be a "team". Hmmm..... More information needed for a conclusion.

Japanese officials have apparently decided to not to appeal Mark's acquittal on the embezzlement charges. I think this is good news at first glance..I mean its been 6 freakin years since we all were Gox'ed..lets rap this shit up and move on.

http://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20190329/p2g/00m/0na/004000c

Quote
The 33-year-old founder of Mt. Gox faced a charge of taking about 341 million yen ($3 million) of customers' money kept in Mt. Gox accounts between September and December of 2013 and using it to acquire a software developer and purchase a canopy bed worth 6 million yen among other items.

He was also charged with manipulating Mt. Gox bitcoin trade data between February and September of 2013 to pad the amount of his accounts.

The court sentenced the French-born former CEO of the Tokyo-based exchange that went under in 2014 to 30 months in prison, suspended for four years, on the charge.

But the court had rejected prosecutors' claims of embezzlement, saying his acquisition of a software developer business was reasonable and transfers of money to his personal account from that of Mt. Gox were loans he had intended to return.

I get all of the stuff except for the last bit..paying for buggy software because you cant hack your way out of a wet paper sack...check. Big floofy bed...check..a mans gotta sleep right?  Its this last sentence that I pause at...hmmm. Somebody help me here.  Oh well, move along...nothing to see here.

A handmaid's tale is fucking feminist circle jerk and the dumbest shit ever. Like companies would lose profits to fire women. Free market keeps that shit from happening.

Flattening out over the next 24 hours for more consolidation. A breakout would move above last weeks local high at $4.147k and leap over the ATH down trend line. Not hodling my breath but anything is possible.

Sometimes for me..its hard to distinguish the forest from the trees if you know what I mean. To mitigate false positives and other noise from the chart I sometimes turn off the candles and just look at what the Cloud is trying to say. Looks like a big ol' bowl of guacamole to me..but hey, I am hungry. #dyor

p.s. Hey infofront...I see what you did there..so I had to vote for dumpage. My answer might have differed without the inclusion of bcash.

Time for a new poll?  Kiss

All things considered, I vote to replace " A handmaid's tale" with a "Canticle for Leibowitz", but all excellent choices to illustrate a point.
Which one?

A scorpion asks a frog to carry it across a river.
The frog hesitates, afraid of being stung by the scorpion, but the scorpion argues that if it did that, they would both drown.
The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion.
The scorpion climbs onto the frog's back and the frog begins to swim, but midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog, dooming them both.
The dying frog asks the scorpion why did it do it [stung the frog], to which the scorpion replies "I couldn't help it. It's in my nature."

Exactamente!!!!

That ship has sailed

like water under the bridge

 toothpaste out of the tube

a cat out of the bag

spilt milk

and

a genie out of the bottle

There are probably more similar expressions, but I cannot think of anymore off the top of my head.

Anything that makes you think is good in my book. I do think the above is perhaps my favorite parable of all time. Simplistic at first glance, I enjoy the rabbit hole it can take you down.
