Look folks, the Christmas crash is turning out to be one of those "overheat fan" type corrections after all, as described in this post.

Well well well. They say a watched kettle never boils.

I go out for some live music and a few cold Guinness Extra Stouts and stop in for a lungful on my way home (without my Android device), blissfully unaware of what was happening in Bitcoinland, and I come home to this.

It's about time. I can't believe it took almost a week for people to come to their senses and realize that the PBOC-rumor-induced dip of the last 2 weeks was just a silly little panic... weaklings selling their coins at an artificially low price, while wise holders laughed and accumulated.

Congratulations to all those who took advantage of an outstanding buying opportunity and my deepest condolences to those who sold.

At no point did it ever feel like a trend reversal to me. The fact that it coincided with a time when a small correction was overdue was very fortuitous. It sent the price much lower than it should have gone, creating a chance for bulls to stock up and for bears to have their first Teddy Bears' Picnic since July.

Now we seem back on track.

Of course the press won't report the recovery because as far as they're concerned, anything outside the white box just didn't happen.

Press will be interested again on ATH. Then they will talk about volatility instead.

Brexit is just one of the many pieces of the picture behind the fundamentals. Trump presidency, US interest rate rises, Italy's banking sector, popular sentiment across Europe, China's economy, currency wars and reorganisation of Politburo Standing Committee later this year...
There's a lot, really.

What for?
Bitcoin will do much better without margin trading because one can sell bitcoins ONLY if they have bitcoins!

I know. I have a vested interest in a more stable bitcoin price as I work for and get paid in bitcoin. I want other people to do this without fear they have to be bot traders as well.

We shall see.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we've held onto most of last night's gains... currently $892USD (Bitcoinaverage).

I also see Huobi, Finex and Stamp pretty much at par. This is extremely healthy IMHO.

What the FUDsters and Bitcoin haters tried to blow up into a crash, turned out to be a positive thing for Bitcoin.

Panic's over. Now it's time to get back to the normal upward growth.
