What for?
Bitcoin will do much better without margin trading because one can sell bitcoins ONLY if they have bitcoins!
I know. I have a vested interest in a more stable bitcoin price as I work for and get paid in bitcoin. I want other people to do this without fear they have to be bot traders as well.

We shall see.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we've held onto most of last night's gains... currently $892USD (Bitcoinaverage).

I also see Huobi, Finex and Stamp pretty much at par. This is extremely healthy IMHO.

What the FUDsters and Bitcoin haters tried to blow up into a crash, turned out to be a positive thing for Bitcoin.

Panic's over. Now it's time to get back to the normal upward growth.

I just realized there's a new, interesting dynamic in play.

With China losing their leverage, Bitfinex has regained a large attractor.

All other things being equal, I take their chances of reclaiming the role of price leader as net positive.  I wonder how the competing interests of reduced-faith in Bitfinex from the recent hack will fare against the increased greed/strength of leverage.  (Incidentally, I think it'd be a really smart move for them to publicly pay down some of their remaining debt.)

Smarter traders than me keep track of things like available money for loans, short vs long interest, borrowing rates.  Whatever those (leading?) indicators mean, I'd bet they become increasingly valuable.

The "short squeeze" and its outcome is what we are witnessing now Smiley http://zentrade.online/bitcoinusd-price-action-analysis-bitmex-perpetual-swap-xbtusd-update-20170117/

Look at the tight arbitradge now between West and East.

Barely a dollar in it.

Also, Hobular volume is about an eighth of what it was.

Is that the effect of banning margin trading ?

We're back at December 23rd prices.

Same thing happened here but i was trying to hedge my earning on that rise.

it will reach the 1100 again very soon, the question is if it's going to hold this time, I think it's likely to fall a little bit once it hits 1166 again lol

It could continue up to the MtGox ATH of $1242 this time. IMO that's the next resistance. If it breaks through that $2000 should be broken through soon afterwards.
