BitcoinGold mainnet is live. Check your addresses here: https://bitcoingold.org/#features

It took a while. Us miners had to wait for the dev team to gorge themselves 8000 blocks for over 6 hours from launch. I thought a premine was supposed to be done before the launch.  Roll Eyes

You're mining it? Do you have rigs? or renting hash?

I just have a personal computer with a GTX 1070. Not going to get rich. But what the hell.

The thing just launched and is worth 5% of a Bitcoin. It's insane.
But what isn't?

It won't last long once the exchanges open up the deposits. Everyone and their mom will be dumping this. It is probably more prudent for me just to point my hash at Nicehash. It's paying pretty good at the moment for Equihash.
I agree with you it does pay pretty good and bitcoingold is crazy it is 5% of a bitcoin and it just got launched but i think it will not last long it is just a hype that newbies have started and it will go down like hell.

He's a BU developer / promoter, and a centralization shill that wants to push 1 GB blocks onto the network. I guess NSA and Google will be the ones running nodes in Peter R's version of Bitcoin. Roll Eyes

There's a bot on IRC. You should join #bitcoin-pricetalk. It has various commands for querying various exchanges. There is no historical data available, but I occasionally post it in here.

I just have a personal computer with a GTX 1070. Not going to get rich. But what the hell.

I've got a GTX970 still in its box. I guess now that I've got my electric heat on anyway, I should get off my butt and install it in my old PC. It may not be fast but it has 6 full-length PCIe slots.

This is fun. I haven't mined since 2014 (2015?). It's like the good old days.

Let's see how fast the network grows. Early birds probably have an advantage.

And as a special bonus we all get a nice gift to start off.

I've been selling my equihashes for a year or so at Nicehash. (4 1070's)
Kinda funny seeing the spike on the payout rate chart right at the BTG launch.
It didnt last very long however. Rate has gone up a tad. No where near as
good as when Zcash launched though.

Had to go dark for a few days doing some international travel. Just arrived to Ho Chi Minh and checked in on the bitcoin shop on Bui Vien. They've got a 2 way bitcoin atm machine and a crypto counter buying and selling the top 15 or so. The limits were fairly decent per transaction , about 10k.
This is my game changer.  No longer will I need to travel with stacks of cash, dodge or declare to customs.
Glad I missed the Wu-Ver-Wright FUD. Not expecting it to be over quite yet although I'm not even concerned about it.  Go Bitcoin!
[imghttp://https://s1.postimg.org/90psfio8hb/20171112_105017.jpg[/img]

This is what I am most excited about.  Carrying stacks of cash from country to country is sketchy.  I've had 4 different currencies on me at once before.  Exchange rates and fees are often unreasonable.  Crypto is going to make things so much easier.  This post brought a shimmer of light to me in the otherwise dark weekend in the bitcoin world.

yup, one of best use cases today ... talking about punchable faces, those guys in intimidating uniforms hanging on to the leashes of cash-sniffing dogs have got to be right up there?
This would be a great idea for every country people will also know about it because it is also a little advertising and you can cash out easily with this machine so you do not have to even do it through the internet and do a lot of stuff.

Any news about what is happening at Bithumb? That's the korean exchange where most of the BCH trading/pumping happened I think.
