FYI there is a "Show/Hide" button on the right of ignored posts so you don't have to Unignore members for a dirty peek on a hidden message.

would not a true ignore button make it so you dont even know that the ignoree actually posts?
otherwise whats the use? i mean last time i tried using it i ended up "dirty peeking" (love the term btw) every ignored post

 The ignore button sometimes works to clarify the thread.  No offence intended but it enables me to temporarily eliminate walls of text that don't interest me especially when I'm using my phone.

However, if someone quotes a post you ignored its full text gets displayed in the quote. There's no escaping quoted walls of text (like stolfi's).

and Bitcoin Core 0.16 may support Segwit Address Only : https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0173.mediawiki

They would need to phase out legacy addresses slowly, while allowing usage of old ones. They'd take several months before supporting Segwit only. Or never.

You can still use uncompressed legacy addresses today (but why would you when you can do compressed.)

Most people are lost on the workings of BTC and how to predict important factors like Fees.
I swear this user experience is so important to the ongoing viability for crypto overall, Im bullish on technology which enables the user not just theoretical achievements just being helpful and predictable is a massive bonus.   I agree with the recent posts by the ETH founder and others who state people have lost their way thinking of price, ironic thing to say on price thread but predicting price is looking at the more important factors  then speculators.  Im more bullish when people watch where they walk then staring at the sky

I can understand not delving into the maths side of things, but what BTC brings to the table is the ability to send money without banks. If you don't understand how to actually send coins, you shouldn't put money in this.

At Christmas dinner I was talking with a cousin who has put money into BTC recently and was worried. I didn't advise him that move, as I don't want the trouble. He was worried because of the correction, so I asked him : where are your coins, in your wallet ? He didn't know what a wallet was, everything is on an exchange... I educated him about the dangers of this, at least.

I am convinced that the xrp company is behind the last attack just like Ver and sockpuppets did before that. This was prepared months ago by gathering hundred of thousands BTC, then sell each time it starts rising. In the meantime they buy of their own offers (mostly) to continue the pump. If this is real, for some reason, you see that bitcoin.com is stamped on the top of the bitcoin ATMs.  Does anyone consider that as strange? 

Are folks believing that Bitcoin.com is a legitimate entrance into information about bitcoin?

There seem to be quite a few folks who get confused by this kind of information, including supposed legitimacy in a name, such as bitcoin.com (which is really nearly a full fledged attack on bitcoin, no?)

I remember at the end of August 2015 there was a crash down to $200 on most exchanges, and bitfinex was the only exchange where the price crashed to $150. A few months after that the bear market ended and the price rapidly pumped to $500. It's like someone was desperately trying to bring the price down using bitfinex. Nobody sensible would dump like that on bitfinex when they could get far better prices on any other exchange.
