Man, the more I think about it, if I was that Gox trustee motherfucker, I'd be god dammed careful exactly who was cooking my puffer fish if you know what I mean.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

the IRS started sending out letters to Coinbase users telling them coins they bought for pennies require thousands of dollars in taxes on even if they used the coins to do something like buy a pizza before the price went up.

Do you have any evidence to go with with your assertion, or are you just doubling down on your fever dreams?

Yep. That guy was naive, lazy and irresponsible towards Gox's creditors and the wider community. Wouldn't surprise me if some Goxers started a suit against him. And others might explore other avenues of redress.
Wouldn't want to be him right now.

Are you sure about that?

According to Kobayashi’s most recent status report on the Mt. Gox bankruptcy, dated Sept. 27, as trustee he has received 163.7 million yen, or about $1.4 million, in fees since his appointment.

You can buy a hell of a lot of bodyguards for $1.4 million.

That's nice for him, but a lawsuit could cost him a lot of that and even more in stress. Plus for the other lot, a hit costs a few thousand USD. If I thought my life was truly threatened, I'd want a lot more than $1.4m.

Probably about as much evidence as his delusional Jewish conspiracy nonsense....

... or V&, or acid attacked, or stabbed, but hey, at least the likelihood of you being shot is relatively low ...

It’s one of the things that living in the UK is shit for, not being able to carry a gun. WHEN bitcoin moon’s I’m moving to the US & will amass a huge Arsenal of weapons for shit’s & gigs.

I’ve been to Vegas twice & going in June for a third time, going shooting is one of my favourite hobbies over there.

Every time it goes under $8700 I’m poor again which means I will be rich but when it goes over $8700 I’m rich again which means I will be poor.

...so...

$8700 is your aggregate cost basis?

Well the rest of us have real jobs. We’re actually adding value to crypto, not just trading like a parasite off the market to pay our bills like fucking losers cuz we can’t get a legitimate paycheck.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Seems I woke just in time for the 16:00-17:00UTC daily dump... currently $8925USD/$11471CAD (Bitcoinaverage) but Bitcoinaverage has a bit of a lag. Meanwhile it's already down to $8740 at Stamp and falling.
_______

I just wish I had the free dollars to jump at this buying opportunity. Instead, I'm frantically putting together enough USD, CAD and MXN to pay for my dental tourism trip to Mexico in 5 days.

Luckily what little bit of Bitcoin I did trade for dollars was before this recent slide and paid me over $14kCAD/BTC including fees. Still, that's a far cry from the almost $21kCAD I got to pay for my January trip. Hopefully I won't have to sell any more coins until next January.

I hate selling bitcoins but it was part of my long-term plan and I'm sticking to it. I always planned to spend my original investment when it meant the rest of my stash would still be worth 7 digits. Last spring as I was getting close, I adjusted that to waiting until after the annual autumn rally (and after Mexico's rainy season).

Hopefully this Gox liquidation bullshit will be long forgotten and we'll have another autumn rally under our belts before I need to sell more coins to pay for my zirconia implants.

Have you been to Front Sight out in Pahrump? Highly recommended.
