We'd be wise to remember that no exponential trend can continue indefinitely in a finite world.

We've had 8+ years of exp growth. I'd be fine with just 8 more years.

This would place the market cap of BTC at approx. 1 - 2 quadrillion USD (based on 175 day doubling).

Considering the USD won't be around in its current form by then, that sounds about right.

This guy is the best
...."He added that Russia must also look into “how we can use it [cryptocurrency] in order to avoid any restrictions in the field of international financial activity,” perhaps a veiled reference to the potential use of cryptocurrency to avoid Western sanctions currently imposed on the country."....

The scourge of the 20th century - Economic sanctions (Hmm - how many deaths from economic sanctions and/or economic hostage)

Bet you it is more damaging than wars

Fake ass invasions of the 20th century

Go Putin

that's it hit the global central banks

Just saw it, fixed the propaganda

...."He added that Russia must also look into “how we can use it [cryptocurrency] in order to avoid any restrictions in the field of international financial activity Global Central Banks,” perhaps a veiled a reference to the potential use of cryptocurrency to avoid Global Central Bank controlled Western sanctions currently imposed on the country."....

sneaky are they not

now apply that to your own money

...."He added that his own finances must also look into “how we can use it [cryptocurrency] in order to avoid any restrictions in the field of international financial activity Global Central Banks,” perhaps a veiled a reference to the potential use of cryptocurrency to avoid Global Central Bank over controlled Western INFLATION and TAXES currently imposed on the country."....

Even if you have money in the bank at 0.1% rate, that's exponential growth too. Smiley

Morning coffee has't done his wounder yed so cant see the growth. If i get 0,1% at bank and lose 2.x% or something with inflation means i have to get a second coffee instantly to get the day going.

If you gave your money to the bank you don't have money anymore. You have invested your money in bank bonds (debt securities).

Another day in bitcoin, another day of Elwar walking around in Thailand with a sign that says WHERE THE LOLITAS? DO YOU ACCEPT BITCOIN?  While JayJuanGee sits in the corner wearing a wig and says "Why yes, I am a lolita; bitcoin accepted here".

maybe its possible to say, that if we have fiat money we dont actually have any money;
because its still their money, even when its in our poket

No. It doesn't matter who has created the money!

1. Money != Debt. Money in your hand or your pocket = Nobody owes you anything but everybody wants it because of its valuable properties facilitating division of labor and thus increasing productivity.
2. Perfect Money = Money can't be used for anything else except for money.
3. Perfect Money = Store of value function doesn't depend on third parties. The Buyer and the Seller determine its value and nobody else.
4. Perfect Money = Bridge in Time preserving 100% the value between two legs of a barter transaction.
