Just a heads-up, the civil rehabilitation claims process at MtGox is now open. Any OG's who had coins there and didn't claim under the old bankruptcy proceedings can file a new application. Expected return is around 17% of any BTC and 100%, plus 6% per annum delay damages, for fiat.

Thank you for posting this. Somehow my original claim never made it through. Today after seeing your link I tried the process again successfully.

Cheers.

My claim got accepted but I intentionally left out without claiming a small wire transfer to Poland bank that didn't reach MtGox before it was shutdown (yeah, big lottery I tried to play there knowing the extreme risk).

I decided not claim it because at that time I thought I had higher chances of having my claim directly approved if I limited it to mtgox acknowledged balance.

Do you think I could/should add it now without affecting my previous (and more important) claim?

You could try, but it'll probably delay your claim and I wouldn't have thought your chances were that high. I'm sure another guy got that part of his claim rejected for an incoming wire.

Whatever you decide, just make sure to re-file by 22nd October. Old claims are no longer valid as far as I'm aware.

Yesterday's staff orders disapproving SRO rules related to a number of bitcoin ETFs are stayed pending Commission review. See, for example:

The only seller now is Bitmain. They sell all the bitcoins they mine to support Bitmain Cash.

Interesting news, but everybody pays all attention to ETF
This one probably even equal to them

August marked the launch of Bakkt, a new blockchain and cryptocurrency project that nurtures involvement from mainstream companies such as Microsoft and Starbucks. The essence of Bakkt is that it could inspire a great deal of institutional investment and could make things like Bitcoin ETF applications far more likely to be improved. On a market level, Bakkt isn’t going to change things straight away, but in terms of institutional mainstream adoption, Bakkt really does have the opportunity to bring Bitcoin to the fore, through their plans to offer an institutional grade cryptocurrency exchange.

As an initial component of the Bakkt offering, Intercontinental Exchange’s U.S.-based futures exchange and clearing house plan to launch a 1-day physically delivered Bitcoin contract along with physical warehousing in November 2018, subject to CFTC review and approval.

imo, This is HUGE

OT : A good indicator of this current "stock market insanity" is McDonald's stock. Seriously? Nearly doubled in value in just the last 4 years???

Make total sense, right? Riiiight. Sure, sure. Unfknbelievable. Can't wait to see the total melt down.

It may be huge (to us who like fairness, honesty and transparency), but sadly it means the whale traders probably won't care to trade it then.

It's abundantly clear in hindsight that big money pushed us up to unsustainable levels specifically to spend the rest of the year shorting us into despair oblivion. Average Joe had nothing to do with it, that much is clear.
