What's your opinion on this?

Unnecessarily aggressive.

And completely wrong.

This.

LN requires that nodes have their bitcoins in a hot wallet.

Good luck convincing a bank to set up a huge centralized node with millions of dollars sitting in a hot wallet.

No, seriously...good luck. I don't know anything about hacking but that might just motivate me to open up a hacking book so I can get my hands on that hot wallet.

but banks already have digital tools and systems to create and move money. they are pretty secure, you don't read about bank hacks very often. this is an example hack: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015%E2%80%932016_SWIFT_banking_hack

if they already use digital (hackable) systems, why should not they use LN too?

Google translation:

Well, you see the situation. Weekly bb went expansion down. How far down? Enky was right. I do not rule out touching the weekly ma200 @ 3000.

At the same time, the long-term trend is not broken until we touch the $ 1200 level. Yes, I know that we broke through the logarithmic trend, but the cue ball does not grow in accordance with the sqrt-trend. Therefore, the nearest support is weekly ma200.

I can say that 10 months ago, when I wrote that the correction will last a year - it seemed to me very little. But I was guided by the 2011-2012 correction model, and it almost worked. Enky was guided by the model 2013-2015. Most likely there will be something third. But his model is still working, but mine is gone.

In general, the correction is delayed by a little more than a year. The alarmists will be left without pants, and enky will soon go to Long. And I do nothing. As always Smiley

It all becomes so obvious in retrospect:
ugh
are you still in silver? different time frames but ..
maybe its time to take a flying silver jump..  Grin
https://i.postimg.cc/59SDWZ4J/agxbtccompare2.png

Silver has an actual price floor though, while bitcoin doesn't.  Bitcoin has a variable-rate price floor that's recursive based on it's own demand.  Besides, the silver charts are entirely fake - a paper, derivative market that has no relation to the underlying asset.  I'd say the bitcoin charts are fake too.  Both charts are just painted by a single entity each.  Silver is artificially painted downwards by a single entity at the ESF, and Bitcoin is artificially painted upwards by a single entity through fraud at Bitfinex.

Why would you buy an artificially inflated bubble (bitcoin) when you can buy an artificially downward manipulated asset instead?  This is like "how do I make money 101" stuff.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it

I was heavily involved in trying to get Ron Paul elected in 2008 which involved keeping up to date on most things going on on Ron Paul Forums.

After the 2008 elections we moved forward with the liberty movement (which was usurped by the corporate Tea Party) and kept each other informed on various projects related to liberty and freedom. Bitcoin was mentioned early on, then mentioned more. I'd been a big gold bug and had always tried to figure out how to convert all of my money into gold while still being able to spend it. I figured if I could at least demonstrate how one person can do it, then it would allow others to do the same. Problem was that gold requires storage which costs money. Any gold credit/debit card charged a fee per use and a monthly storage fee.

When someone first mentioned bitcoin and speculated that in the future we would use a basket of currencies as our every day currencies I pushed back because I felt that gold was the answer to future currencies. But after I saw that bitcoin hit dollar parity I downloaded the wallet. It had a button you could click to start mining so I tried to mine. It crashed my computer so I was like...screw Bitcoin, this thing sucks. And went on with my life.

Then I read about the jump from $2 to $32 and I decided it was time to get in. When it came back down to $17 I cashed out my Roth IRA and bought $10k worth (as it spent 2 years slowly falling down to $2). I sold it all when it came back up to $12.

I swear to God those Teabaggers were Retards! It was hilarious when they were told what a teabagger is. I had an idiot neighbor who had the tea bags taped to his baseball cap. Hah what a tard.

On a serious note it was sad to see the corporate scum manipulate all those voters but it was obvious and it really made me lose faith in americans as a whole.

Be sure to check out the new bcash SV website http://bcashsv.com

I love the Wiki page!
Glad someone quoted this from a few days ago I had to skip a huge amount of pages.

Somewhere in here in 2008, I can't find a way to search the site it's been changed so much.

https://web.archive.org/web/20080802210827/http://www.overclock.net:80/overclock-net-folding-home-team/

Too much wasted time, done searching. Smiley

Yeah, I think a fair number of us got into it from folding, which is cool because a lot of the new rich elite are going to be fundamentally altruistic people.

Of course, along with the gamblers and drugs enthusiasts...nothing wrong with that, mind you.

That is a great thing (The Folders that got in on the ground floor), unfortunately I will never be in that category, I had a 7k electric bill at that time instead of generating BTC by some unforeseen circumstances that stopped me from switching over the machines I had planned too. On the bright side I was top 1500 in the world at one point Folding and we won the Chimp Challenge and became the number one team in the world. Of course that does not come with a payday. Cheesy

But I never was much into material things so its no biggie. Smiley

AFA the gamblers and druggies. I'd hazard a guess that only the better gamblers out of that entire pool still has any left. Smiley

HOLY FUCK, 11 Goddamn pages to catch up from Yesterday! Shit thats impossible.

I’ve watched my bitcoin stash worth go from close to 1 million GBP to well, you can figure it out from that.
Of course it hurts.....badly.

I feel stupid for not selling at the ATH but we’ve all been through this before & we rocketed from $160 to $20,000.

It will happen again?

If it doesn’t RIP to me.

I don't think now is the right time for me to shine a beacon of light, as I fear your journey will become bleaker yet, but Bitcoin has risen from the abyss before and shall do so again.

taking you guy's with me

now the price just gotta follow

Honourable mention required. Nice one Mic  Cool

As it is going the CSW event has turned into an unequivacable S-storm of stupidity with most recently a block reorg underway on SV.

Here's the thing (AND TO THE NSA ETC I AM NOT SUGGESTING OR ADVOCATING ANYTHING):

He has messed with a lot of people's money.

What about the unscrupulous types with money to spend on things like hit-men?

This market definitely makes me more humble each day.

Not quite sure if I should laugh or cry but I guess capitulation is supposed to feel/look like this. I mean...there is a reason why it's called "capitulation".

I refuse to think selling is a viable option now. That would be like running to the bathroom after you've shit the pants.

They said the exact same about Mark Karpeles. You can join him for a convoluted coffee tonight for a nice chat.
