The Confession Overheard in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
Judas is an Ethereum developer; he’s had some bad luck. He is now at Church giving a confession.
Father is the Bishop.
Judas - Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It has been one year since my last confession.
Father - Welcome my son, please tell me how you have sinned.
Judas - Well as you know, I am an Ethereum developer. But I believe I have given false witness to another god.
Father - Who would that be, the Devil, Satan himself?
Judas - No Father, my faith strayed. I believed in Decentralisation.
Father - Huh? Not sure I follow. Please explain.
Judas - I am an Ethereum developer. You know, the world’s virtual computer. I believed that using the Ethereum protocol I could decentralise anything. And I was specifically interested in the trading of financial assets, like stocks.
Father - Ok, but what would a decentralised stock market look like?
Judas - Well, anyone, anywhere could exchange stocks. You wouldn’t need to get approval from any government or a traditional exchange like the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq. It would also allow anyone to sell equity in their project to anyone in the world. In short, true financial freedom for everyone, everywhere.
Father - Heresy. You planned to usurp the Angels, the NYSE, and Nasdaq. Did you not consult the good book about our Lord’s relationship with those organisations?
Judas - I did, but I thought because I used the decentralised world computer, Ethereum, that our Lord and Saviour would not mind.
Father - Son, you did not read the Gospels close enough. Specifically, the Gospel according to Howie.
Judas - Well, I thought my lawyers were well versed in the Gospels. They told me that because it was decentralised, the Gospel according to Howie did not apply.
Father - [Shakes his head in sorrow] In my last sermon, I preached that the Lord’s children must be vigilant against false prophets. Specifically those wearing Brioni suits, and white Church’s shoes. These white shoe lawyers, care not for your soul, but only for their pockets.
Judas - Oh, I missed that one. I was too hungover after a night at the Box. We were celebrating our ICO.
Father - Ah, the ICO. I also lead a vigil against that tool of the Devil. But son, how is your project decentralised, if you personally launched an ICO, and profited from it? Surely, a truly decentralised project has no identifiable leader, and no one entity profits from its operation?
Judas - I realised the errors of my ways now.
Father - How has the Lord made you repent?
Judas - The Lord decreed that I must pay a large sum of money to absolve my sins.
Father - Better that, than the Lord sending you to Sodom and Gomorrah, a.k.a. Rikers.
Judas - I know, I am forever grateful to the mercy of our Lord.
Father - I am glad you have learned son. Our Lord is merciful. But he will strike rath down upon those who threaten his kingdom.
Father - Let us pray to our Lord and Saviour. In nomine patris et filii spiritus sancti JAY CLAYTON. Lots more at https://mailchi.mp/1046de6d800b/crypto-trader-digest-1307815?e=2eeec28d17Arthur Hayes amusing us while he fleeces the new and unwary. haha lol nice confession would say +1WO merit but i'm out for the moment :/ gotta run had my good noon moment of WO

It's a shithole out there man. A cesspool of sig campaigning google translate feces.
Stay in this thread. It is the only reliably decent place on the forum.
I absolutely agree with you 100%. The funny thing is they tried to lock this thread. All the shit out there on the forum with shilling and broken sentences and this was the thread they tried to stop.

Bitcoin's hash rate is dropping considerably right now.. bit concerning because it drops too fast the difficulty adjustment may never happen. Actually difficulty adjustment is an intrinsic threat.. if ever bitcoin had to go through a hard fork, that's something I'd fix (not sure I'd hard fork it though).
That happened with IXcoin a while back - and it took a couple of months with virtually no blocks generated before we got the difficulty back down Some people consider IXcoin a great "testnet" for Bitcoin in regards to running a blockchain, incentive for only tx fees, since all coins have already been mined. According to the website: "All 21 million coins have been generated (April 2011 - October 2014)" Strangely though the chain is still generating 1 coin block reward. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/#The community paid back the premine and released an update to reward those premine blocks back to the network

Good morning all. The good news..one bitcoin is still worth one bitcoin. The bad news is we are still near yearly ATL's. The in the "middle" story is whilst a local bottom has been found, there has not been a significant rebound..as of yet. However...there are signs that the tide has gone slack if not changed. Most indicators are showing a clear oversold market at this point. This down turn has been driven mostly by fear imho, not fundamentals. The looming threat of the SEC moving against ICO's is a probable source along with the BCH forking debacle. These two in combination has created a perfect "short" storm that has rattled investor confidence in what is usually a historic time for growth. I believe today is going to be quite volatile with a chance of a significant move back towards the positive side. #dyor 1h Cat arches back and looks to the East. 4h Cat scalds paw on hot stove. Who tried? some moderator got tired of the complaints, so locked it. the original op had fucked off, so wasn't modding it. theymos (may Cthulhu save and protec him) let us pick a new op (mCsaph), relaxed the rules and unlocked it.

9/10 povs agree pot noodles save on washing up. They somewhat epitomise Britishness. There was a mistake in the nutrition section of one variety for a long time, saying it was full of fibre (it isn't), just when fibre and food were being pumped to the middle classes. They got biggish because back then Brits hated ourselves, food, money and the environment. Now they like looking at food shows, and hate everything else equally and fairly. We have always liked tits.
