Dubai’s Property Giant has confirmed they sent an email to their agents which says property purchases can now be paid in bitcoin or eth through Bitcoin Suisse.

The email itself, forwarded to Trustnodes, is titled: “Buy Emaar Properties using Bitcoin and Ethereum.”

https://www.trustnodes.com/2019/02/25/emaar-confirms-email-to-agents-on-bitcoin-and-ethereum

Emaar Properties is best known for developing the tallest building in the world, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.
In 2018 the company handed over more than 51,800 residential units across the world while more than 29,800 residences are currently under development in the UAE and over 17,500 units in other parts of the world.
Last year Emaar Properties recorded around US$7b in revenue.

i have sigs disabled forum wide anyway so if someone pulls crap like this ignore is the only option. i hate sigs..

EDIT: seems Gyrsur stopped. unignored now.

This is a fresh example that trolls like r0ach are not right that virtual currencies have no application in real life. Anyway, I wonder how long it will take for each country to allow direct purchases of property with Bitcoins. I think that if Bitcoin is not officially banned in a country, than there should not be legal obstacles. Thus it remains only that the merchants give such an opportunity for the potential buyers. This raises the additional question of whether such purchases will be tax free. It is a complicated issue, but at least in my small country, if I buy directly with bitcoins some asset (for now I don't have info for such property deals), then I don't have to pay a tax. The only thing is that I should be able to prove that I am not a trader but investor in Bitcoin and the asset is for my personal needs, not for trade. (Just like with fiat currencies, which have greater value in time.) This principle of equality between fiat and Bitcoin should be in each country, I think. This is important, since everyone now pays various taxes for transferring fiat into bank accounts. In near future, everyone should be able to buy property and cars directly with Bitcoins, thus saving taxes. So the Bitcoin whales won't need to sell thousands of Bitcoins and paying millions of $'s tax. The impact on the market in the coming years may be huge.  Wink

Signatures are those things people wear at the bottom of their posts. you see them in other threads if enabled. Basically if you're posting daily on BTT you might as well get paid for it by advertising something.

Sorry to break it to you but :

OK, APNGs are now detected. Old ones are grandfathered for now, in part because people have ongoing campaigns, but in the future I might (or might not) go through and remove them.

As for the animated avis, I know they're annoying but that's what they want us to wear for my campaign... and I gotta admit I need/want the free BTC.

I have never wore a sig.... But I understand people that do... more so if they are actual useful contributors and not just sig spammers. I might even consider it in the future if needed the money or whatever.

That being said, this thread is sig free. Win-Win.

That demonstrates that Bitcoin is not digital cash for the masses but hodling capital for the Swiss-bank account elite.

Why Starbucks Supporting Bitcoin Spending is Big News

https://crypterium.com/news/open/starbucks-supporting-bitcoin-news

"assuming one percent of the 13.5 million clients convert their BTC to fiat and buy coffee, that will translate to $250 million of added market cap per year and that means a stable and less volatile crypto market. The good news is that there are chances that the American Retailer will add in some incentive encouraging crypto expenditure.

In case of that boost acceptance and one in every ten customers buy coffee with Bitcoin, that will translate to $2.5 billion of added liquidity and well, it could snowball especially if conversion rates are favorable. Additional traction can be drawn from the already successful—but in Beta Lightning Network which offer instant transactions—exactly what Starbuck wants, low fees—needed by the customer– and a scalable system which is perfect for Bitcoin."

People already load pre pay cards to save a few quit at a business.

If you could genuinely get down the cost advantage, including fees and conversions etc., then it could fly easier.

Surely we can see with some degree of accurateness that this postulation bears a degree of accuracy while at the same time and notwithstanding
(snip)
we can also state that there are some figures and other datas on the interwebs which back up these rumorifications

A little out of line, it's not Thursday yet.

V8's keyboard seems to be spewing out gobble-dee-gook.  Even I agree.   Wink   Tongue

Surely we can see with some degree of accurateness word soup word soup word soup word soup
(snip)

JJ, did you stake a BTC address?

You mean me?  or jojo?

I know that a joke would not be as good if it has to be explained, but isn't the suggestion that V8 is making fun of me by his long text, not that I took over V8's account or that he would be taking over mine?  I am losing the connection.   Cry
The implication is that as you took over V8's, someone could take over yours for retribution. Funny joke eh?  Roll Eyes. I'm embarrassed.

Here's my variation of a courtesy laugh.

Good morning guys.

Approaching the Cloud for a better look. Increasing resistance will precipitate a move to challenge support at the 0.5 fib or head back towards the 0.382 to pick away at the overhead resistance.  Probable outcome is sideways movement until the first of March as there are a few coins out there about to experience hardforks. The results of these forks will resonate in the charts for the next week or so. #dyor
