I mumbled a little bit on various themes we discussed on the WO thread lately.
I posted this on a new thread:
Extracting stable positive return from high-volatile asset.HF recipe made simple

Hope you might find it useful.
It also gives hints on how to manage a selling program to exit bitcoin (for the degenerate WO members who aren't permaholders Wink...)

Good and simple read. Merit-worthy, but I'm dry.

Fiat currencies. Backed by the military.

I know some of you don't like this, but I just can't hold it in.
Special forces.

When V8 originally posted this, it registered in my mind as funny - albeit dark humour - and I have to admit a tiny smile crossed my face.  I think that was okay because I was alone; nobody saw me smile.  Now when I read this post, I felt an ever so slight, rhythmical contraction of my diaphragm and possibly an unconscious vocalization but not loud enough for my daughter to have heard.  While it might have been politically incorrect to laugh, perception of humour is by and large an unconscious act and laughter is known to reduce stress hormones and to improve your body's immune system.  So thanks you two for extending my life and at the same time damning my soul to an eternal hell!   Angry

I'm just going to leave this here:

I have a dog with no legs.  I call him Cigarette because every evening when I get home from work I take him for a drag.

So it's not as bad as you think....  Wink

An asset that has a 10% guaranteed loss every year then.....

Nope.

I take it you don't own a car  Wink

Luxury is a state of mind, but to most, a bicycle/car is a necessity but a yacht is a luxury. So, I wouldn't compare a yacht with a car  Smiley

My sister had a dog with 3 legs, she named it Fraction. Great dog, couldn't jump as well as others but can't say the handicap really affected him much. Fur reals.

I'm more concerned about the labor involved fixing the crankshaft to that particular attach point. I imagine claw proof protective gear is in order.

#1 reason I have gotten out of US equities and holdings:

a) I don't believe in profiting from fraud.
b) The belief one can profit from fraud is the #1 hook confidence men use to take your money.

Glad there is a currency which cannot be debased. For that I am thankful.

It is interesting, according to CryptoPotato:

https://cryptopotato.com/bitcoin-chart-analysis/

The volume of the Short is not relevant, confirming that sales are few, there is more buyer interest. The offers at these levels are practically running out, what remains is to test offer at higher levels, perhaps at $ 11K and up.
