"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

For the poll, I put 0% for the sale of BTC on the next pump.....

however...

I will be 'likely' dumping all forked coin BTC of any flavor and all other cryptos I have...about 10% of my BTC hoard in value

by that point in time I guess. I will "probably' blow such on 'dubious' activities rather than add to hoard...might decide to live a little IF

I survive this Coniv-19 pandemic and the general 'nuttiness' of the current Trump Administration in general..I'm thinking Belize. Smiley

(hey....altcoins...I never claimed as a mistress you were my 'main squeeze' deal with it) Smiley

Welcome back, jackass  Grin  Tongue

I made this mistake too. It took me about a week or two (afair) to get back in. Between $2.4k and $2.8k back in 2017.
Don't repeat it. Bitcoin will punish you by going back up again, right after the selloff. Keep up the trust!

Congratulations Mindrust. Now hold on to that bitcoin no matter what, mentally write those dollars invested off. Keep it for 20+ years in deep frozen storage, future Mindrust will be proud of yourself.

It is all about motivation and concentration. One miss step and boom everything goes to trash can.

I don't think I'll need 20+ years since I am accumulating again. I'll certainly be among the dumpers during the next parabolic. I won't be greedy and wait for lots of money, I'll take it when it becomes "good enough".

Actually I don't plan to hodl more than %10-15 of my networth and that means dumping mode will be always on as long as it climbs.

Why $8.1K Will Be a Key Level for Bitcoin Price for the Next 6 Months

Quote
Bitcoin may not break $10,000 for some time as several metrics point to possible pullbacks to under $9,000.

FFS. Put me in a cryopreservation capsule and wake me up in 2023.

This is metaphysical. We are being told that more BTC is being bought than mined. So how is that possible? How can asset devalue in scarcity?  Cool

Here is a homeless man in a wheelchair.

He was not participating in the demonstration.  He was just there.

However the LAPD have decided to shoot him in the face with a rubber bullet at close range.

This is not a nice thing to do.  This is not what normal police officers do.  As one police chief explains:

Quote
According to the Trace, the Minneapolis Police Department’s use-of-force policy strongly advises against pointing 40 mm launchers — which are used to deploy rubber bullets, beanbag rounds, and sponge rounds — above a person’s lower extremities. The policy also acknowledges that the projectiles can cause “grievous” injuries, and in some cases, death. Rubber bullets should be used only to control “an extremely dangerous crowd,” Brian Higgins, a former police chief, told Kaiser Health News.

Bonus picture. A 15 girl is sitting on the ground blinded by pepper spray.  So a cop casually walks up to her and kicks her in the face.

https://twitter.com/jeffshafer/status/1268684973604814857?s=21

Some of you may consider the cop to be a hero for kicking a seated girl in the face. I don’t.

The Police in the US is the opposite of serving and to protecting the ordinary people, but it is not a wonder or coincidence, that the US is always using force to protect their interests. Despite that, i do not really see a correlation and causality for the guy in the wheelchair or the girl on the ground to be blindly involved and hit by force, but that seems to be a educational problem in the US in general. The only ones that should be protected are those victims, aka ordinary people, from the police in the US  Angry

Exactly, Mark gives absolutely no evidence or even detailed opinion to support why it's "not fungible" and "can't be a replacement for the current system."

Just open blockchain explorer. You will see then why Bitcoin is not fungible.

I hate it when people make broad statements like this and just walk away.

Care to explain what you mean in more detail?

Every Bitcoin have whole history written in it. On what wallet it was and with what other coins was in other wallets. It is the same as we would have a dollar bill and on back of the bill would be written who own them all the way back from when they come from FED printers room. That is not fungible. Fungible is gold that you can at anytime melt into new ingot or coin and no one have any ideas in what shape that gold were in past and who owned it.

Cuban is extremely smart guy and totally get crypto.

Huh? This is not a new idea. We have talked about the idea of tainted coins for years.

I'm selling everything in the next FOMO top, in Q4 2021.
For two reasons, I want to square everything with the taxman, I bought small amounts a gazillion times in 2013 and 2014 and need to get that straightened out. I also need some life changing money in my life.
So, 30% goes to the taxman, the rest will be divided in two equal sums, one for me to do what I want with, and one that will be put in something that pays a good interest. After a year that sum will be used to buy back bitcoins since the bottom comes almost exactly a year after the top, at least it has the last two times.
And then I will be 100% in bitcoin again for three years when the next top comes and I repeat.

I'd recommend you to keep at least 1BTC just in case. Never go full mindrust (is it still ok to say so?) on BTC! I'd be much more nervous being 100% fiat than I am now being 90% BTCCool
