1 left L3+ on hashnet

I think the physical miner(july ending batch) was not selling more because of hashnet stock, now i think the july batch one will be sold out soon

I would not preorder 10 weeks in advanced for july 20-30 batch.
Difficulty is not plateauing. I believe the reason for the long ship date is all L3+ being produced are going straight to hashnest and mining exclusively on Antpool.
So preorders are basically giving Bitmain an interest free loan for 10 weeks or longer, if you ordered weeks ago.

The PPS shares are dropping fast every 3.6 days. There are 19-22 difficulty adjustments between now and when you can start mining the next batch.
Think the May5th batch is actually going to ROI in 2-3 months depending on LTC price and if you hodl or sell incrementally.
July20-30 batch is at best case 7-9 month ROI. Probably 15 months though. LTC would need to run up to $75-100 to shorten that ROI. You'd be better off buying LTC at 27.50 and making 300-400% than mining with expectations of higher price.

I suspect it'd be less of a problem with a weaker PSU. Since the overcurrent cutoff on the DPS1200 is about 500 watts higher than expected draw on a L3+, if something goes wrong and a hashboard decides to pull 600 watts instead of 200 watts the cables will notice a long time before the PSU does.

Every time I check the supply boards they're running clean and cool. The one burned up last night had been running clean and cool since Friday afternoon. Almost has to be something screwy with the hashboards, but it's been a different miner on a different power supply each time.

Looks like we'll be swapping in 850W supplies with a less generous overcurrent cutoff and see what happens.

Interested to see if anyone else has had issues.

No issues here but I'm using a single 1500W PSU on each of mine.

I did have one of mine reboot itself for an unexplained reason after 3 days but that's the only thing out of the ordinary so far.

Same miner rebooted itself again, no idea why either. Still hashing normally.

Pool didn't even notice it according to history but the run time status shows it

Are you sure it rebooted and did not just restart cgminer? My runtime in the GUI shows 14h+ but uptime says:
Code:
root@antMiner:~# uptime
 13:37:05 up 3 days, 20:49,  load average: 1.62, 1.22, 1.22

Yup looks like a Cgminer restart and not a reboot for me

 13:43:22 up 3 days, 13:48,  load average: 0.94, 1.00, 1.04

I just saw the same thing. After 6 days of solid performance, cgminer restarted this morning.

After that a ton of hardware errors started showing up, both in the GUI and in the log. Without me doing anything cgminer restarted again.

That was 45 minutes ago. Now the stats look completely normal.

I can see the cgminer restart event in the kernel log, but there's no other info explaining why it restarted. I guess Bitmain has some sort of watchdog that restarts if there's aberrant behavior, like excess hardware errors.

Was I helpful?   BTC: 3G1Ubof5u8K9iJkM8We2f3amYZgGVdvpHr

Periodically the L3's will restart depending on what it sees going on.  Sometimes it may manifest as HW errors, but other times I didn't see any particular reason for it to restart.  It can be hard to tell what happened unless you happened to see what it was doing just before the restart.  Of course after the restart the HW error count is reset.  Crawling through the log is a pain in the backside.

Just keep an eye on your HW errors.  Having some errors is fairly normal for Bitmain, but if they start to escalate quickly then likely after one of those restarts your miner will not come back up.  Then after looping through a hardware diagnostic and reset of the controller you will figure out who the culprit is and then arrange for having the board shipped off.

The good news is that Bitmain has not changed the policy yet on hardware repairs and they will still allow you to send just the bad board in vs the S9/T9/R4 policy of sending back the entire miner.  So that is a positive.

Bitmain is forward selling something that they are now dumping in the market in volume.   The return for each miner will collapse if they continue this course.  I don't think it has anything to do with any other announcements.  It is purely a numbers game based on the mass quantity of miners they are throwing into circulation.

KNC?  August 2017 ship date?  Maybe everyone needs to go back and read about what happened with KNC the first rodeo?  I wouldn't pre-order a pizza with those clowns... Not sure how many of the original "clowns" are still around, but if this is a real product then wait for it to "really ship".

Also if you compare the numbers 1300 watts for 750mhs isn't as efficient as the L3+.  Secondly where the red flags are flying all over this thing is the "we include everything including the PSU's", "and we will provide a 1 year warranty plus service".  Well ask the people who did business with KNC in the past how that works out?  Find out how the laws are defined regarding their requirement to offer any kind of warranty or support.

You might be shocked if you read through the past posts and the results of the lawsuit that was lost by the miners who were cheated by this company.  The warranty is worth nothing, but worse yet the fact they are throwing it around should make everyone question if this is a legit company coming back to the market.  Color me extremely skeptical.

Can't trust upon this site, newly registered on 5 March 2017 and payment systems is by Coinpayments,
my research says Coinpayments mainly is used by The scammers and frauds.

And there is no Add to Cart syatem no login system, user cant login and register on the KNC Miner website, and website looks like,
scammers.

Of you buy the link you redirect to the coinpayments website and there you can fill our Address, its strange.

And were did you got from this website....?

Add to the fact that the original web site was: www.kncminer.com

The new web site knc-miner.com...  And as was just posted look at the registration date... Something really stinks.

It's a scam. Even if knc came back, they would not have a 1 year warranty. They only
had such back in the day, due to website error on original orders, that were not changed from
the previous Neptune product. It was supposed to be 90 days. They fought for that for 2 months
and then caved.

2nd point, if pictures to be seen are true at best they would have to include the
Equivelent of a Corsair 1200i to get 738mh

Especially at 1,500 Price which for eff is still way to much.

Shoddy research and evil prep. Not up to meglomanic knc evil standards.

I call it a scam.

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

You would think if someone was going to try and setup a scam like this they would at least try to use a "reputable" company to base the scam on? LOL  This really is pretty lame... If anyone is foolish enough to order with these people please do keep us posted.  I have to say it has all the earmarks of a glaring scam.

So after tearing these things apart and figuring out how they work (driver for these are open source as well which is cool), pretty sure that bitmain is purposely shipping these to underperform. The actual boards are built to output way more power than they currently are with shipped settings.

I've been able to play with the voltage controller on the boards and have them hashing at over 600mh currently with same power draw lol. I might try a over volt/ over clock and see what I can push them at within the thermal envelope.

I wouldn't be surprised at all.

They also are quite reluctant to answer questions about other PSU's that aren't their own.

Found that a little strange.  Guy basically told me to F off because I didn't want to buy the PSU that they recommended.

Hi, please, I need your help, it's about the taxes that the L3+ has to pay at US Customs.
I am not from the US, but in order to receive the equipments in my country it is necessary that they pass through the US.

I bought two L3 + from the May 5th batch, with the APW3`s there was no problem for delivery to the warehouse in the US, but for the L3+ UPS told me that the receiver in the US must pay funds on the packages. I read before some had to pay some taxes for the L3+ as well and fill some information to the customs, but my question is how much is it?
And I need to know it because the receiver that I paid in the US is going to tell me a price and I can not verify if it is the real that UPS says or is overcharged.

Also the main problem I have is that UPS tried to deliver the packages three times but my receiver there did not pay the funds, so UPS told me that the sender (bitmain) has to reschedule a new delivery so they can then delivery again the packages or they will return the equipment to the sender. This time my receiver told me that they are going to pay the funds.

Thank you very Much in Advanced!

Your joking, that is absolutely insane and on a new level of scummy/scammy.  So they are running these things at 20% higher hashing power in their own facilities, but then shipping them with crappier settings so that they keep a higher percentage of the network without having to do squat.  That is pretty shitty, even for them.

Or we accept the other side of the argument and suppose that they are idiots who didn't know they could be pushed that far, seems unlikely though.

Push them at your own risk.  I have not seen this overbuilt rock solid miner you speak of.  Pull it apart and it is the same garbage that Bitmain sells.

I have been playing around the world with hash boards and controllers for the L3's at stock settings since about a month after I received them and still have a miner down awaiting parts repairs.  So no WAY would I even attempt to turn up the clocks.  If I were to turn up anything it is going to be the fans to keep those inner boards cool.  Proceed at your own risk... Pay attention to those interior board temps and HW errors.  I think this is a bad idea.

Just wait until the large volume of miners come online, even if coin prices keep going up the sheer volume of miners is going to be mind boggling!  It certainly isn't looking good since Bitmain starting dumping miners in hashnest.
