Yeah, I didn't have problems with them before they updated the site. I put in a ticket telling them all the issues I had and basically that the site/service sucks now. lol Lots of bugs, I was even getting odd errors when just trying to place an order.
I even have these issues with my current order placed on the old site.  |

Lower difficulty puts more stress on fast ASIC miners since the miner has to process an excessive number of shares in a short period of time. If the miner would be working only on a few shares with higher difficulty the efficiency of the miner would be higher.
@ck I was under the impression that ASICs are always processing 1diff shares and all that diff setting means is "Don't send any result under this value to the server". Have I been wrong about that all of this time? Or are they just over-simplifying and calling "processing" the act of sending to the server? |

Today's ASICs actually filter out low diff shares themselves but the problem is their server since it collates the shares from multiple miners and passes them on. There is no such thing as a standalone asic itself that needs anything more than diff 10k since the S9 is the biggest miner around and really it works fine at lower diffs and only gets overloaded at diffs of under 1k. Presumably they're running into load issues on their servers. |

Read the website instructions please. If you have an asicminer tube/prisma, you can use a custom port 3335 (only accepts usernames without worker extensions) eg:
solo.ckpool.org:3335

I was on this site:http://ckpool.org/ It didn't say anything about that. Now I have found the solo site. Thank you. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. |

You have issues with their service now? Are you still renting anything? MRR is probably the only other substantially sized renter available as far as I'm aware. |

I have mixed feelings after making 0.8 BTC (and a 0.2 BTC rental for here), doing roll-overs on an alt with an initial 0.03 BTC rental this weekend (basically turning .03 BTC into 1 BTC). In mining (as in poker, craps, and roulette): some days are winners and some days suck ass. |

i like this spool simple and esay to use .. but something in my mind want t ask how this pool work and what mean by HERP since i see the pool work have two list payout and herp..what is thAT AND WHAT FUNCTION HERP is just the software's internal counter to determine who is scheduled for a payout and how much relative to other miners. The payout list shows those that will get a payout if the block is found in "payouts" and the rest of the list "postponed" are those who need to accumulate more HERP to get a payout - which may happen on subsequent blocks due to being accumulated if they miss out on the current block. Herp accumulates indefinitely on successive blocks until you reach the threshold for payout. |
