....which allows you to be ironic, and in fact reject small miners  Smiley
I reject no one based on size. In every situation, if I felt that sarcasm was called for, then I'd use sarcasm on someone with 100PH just as quickly and easily as with someone with 100GH.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Hello! I just joined your pool with my lonely but hardworking S9 miner, I understand that it's stupid to ask how much I will receive, but what is the probability of finding a block by my miner, with an average speed of 12.8-13.3 Th/s?

Pool Hash rate = 24293141.32 TH/s (02/07/2018)
Your Hash rate = 13 TH/s
Block Write to blockchain speed = 1 every 10 mins.

* Units like yours trying to win a blok =  24293141.32 / 13 = 1868703

* 1 / 1868703 * 100 = 0,000053513 % to win a block in 10 minutes

* 1868703 * 10 mins * 1h /60 mins * 1 day / 24 h  = 13000 days = 35,55 years to win a block

0,000053513% probability to win a block in 10 minutes
0,00032% probability to win a block in 1 hour
0,0077% probability to win a block in 1 day
2,8% probability to win a block in 1 year
100% probability to win a block in 35,55 years

Hi All, first post here. I've been mining here for a few days with two S9s. When I go here: http://ckpool.org/pool/pool.miners , my miner shows up, but when I go to the dashboard: http://ckpool.org/#/dashboard , I do not.

Could someone explain the difference between the two lists?

Thanks in advance.

The dashboard link is for the payout if we hit a block right now.  Top 100 miners plus 50 of the smaller miners who did not get payed on last block or have waited the longest to get paid.

It will take a few days to get up to the top 150 with 2 S9's  then you should show up on the list.

But all your hashes are still counted.

Can someone tell me what the Headers are in OpenWRT running Avalon miners?

In particular in the Device status line at the end are two columns after input voltage PG and EC.

What are these?

BlockChain Hash rate = 24293141.32 TH/s (02/07/2018)
Pool Hash rate = 7000 TH/s
Block Write to blockchain speed = 1 every 10 mins.

* Units like yours trying to win a blok =  24293141.32 / 7000 = 3470,448

* 1 / 3470,448 * 100 = 0,028814 % to win a block in 10 minutes

* 3470,448 * 10 mins * 1h /60 mins * 1 day / 24 h  = 24 days  ->  100% probability to win a block in 24 days !

Probabilities for this pool as for today

0,028814% probability to win a block in 10 minutes
0,17% probability to win a block in 1 hour
4,14% probability to win a block in 1 day
29% probability to win a block in 1 week

Click on the user menu item. Insert your address into the line and press "see user" then when you go back to the dashboard it will show your 1day average hashrate.

Alas these are wrong. There is no such thing as 100% probability with mining which is a stochastic process. It keeps approaching 100% but never gets there.

Maybe better to say

Your Hash rate = 13 TH/s -> If you have neutral luck you will mine 1 block in 35,55 years
Pool Hash rate = 7000 TH/s -> Having neutral luck 1 block will be mined in 24 days (or 1.28 blocks in 1 month, even it is imposible to mine 0,28 blocks)

Definetively, 128% luck doesn't make any sense

Maybe better to say that if nothing changes and you work on the exact same block, then you are likely to have an average find rate of 1 valid share for the current diff every 35 years (and this could also mean that you find 0 for the next 100 years and then find 3 in a row), and all of these numbers will be rendered moot in ~ 12 Days 6 Hours when the diff rises another likely 10%.  Smiley

I've spent this evening making a very basic app to view your user mining details on android for personal use.

I've not added individual miners yet and it is in the same format as the old web version. I'll make it look pretty with graphs and other things in the future but just thought that i would share it for those who want to use it.

You just enter your wallet address and it gets the details, refreshing every 5 seconds or on click. Just gets the data from the webpage and puts it in an app form basically :)

The pages only update every minute on the server so this is wasteful at both ends.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Ill change it to update on tap or every 5 mins or so. That should make it better Smiley

I think Luck and Probability mean exactly the same thing.
 They allude to a notion but really don't mean much at the end of the day
