I just started mining on slush, but how come my mining client reports I've sent 60 shares, yet the account webpage says I've only sent 19?

That is 19 for the current round. The other 41 you sent were probably for previous rounds.

I'm just trying to find why pool generates such unusual number of invalid blocks today.

Edit: I'm going to upgrade infrastructure, you may obtain some rpc errors in following minutes.

Yes, difficulty is rising, hashrate is the same. Actually this block was 4.5x<difficulty>, so nothing impossible. Yesterday was pretty good, so it must average sometimes Smiley.

This score-base system is just a cheat. I made experement: 3 hours round of mining (large block). About 2.5 hours i was in. About 4 or 5 times 'scores' was reseted, and you know what i get after block was done? NOTHING- 0.0000000000 BTC. Yeah so fucken cooooooooooooooooperative fair mining.

About 4 or 5 times 'scores' was reseted,

Score is recalculated every hour, not resetted.

Btw, how many Mhash/s do you have?

So block was done, right? What you can tell to people like me who get nothing for 2.5 hours of mining?

Small mhash - 72. But tell me why you asking this question? i was mining 2.5 hours, and in theory i must have at least 0.000000000000001 BTC. But as you can see from stat i get
 "4587   2011-05-19 02:22:38   4:24:56   1205542   0.00000000   125021     55 confirmations left"|. So tell me, is it fair and normal for mining?
PS: why so huge blocks are not skipping, like this make guys from 'deepbit.net' ? And by the way - at their pool i get reward after EVERY hour of mining, and you know what? This is fair system, users must get what they deserve.

Reward is calculated to 8 decimal places.

I'm asking because hashrate and steady payout are tightly coupled. With 72mhash over 2 hours you're far away from 1000 shares, which are considered to be minimum to have average payout as described here.

So happy fool - tell me what you get after this one:
4590   2011-05-19 08:03:17   5:11:26   1431028   none   125055     89 confirmations left
?? 0.000001 BTC? - Cool dude, u rule.
Blocks like this must be skipped.

I got:

4590    2011-05-19 08:03:17    5:11:26    1431028    0.06877238    125055    84 confirmations left

Not great for a 5 hour round, but I could equally post this which would be 94BTC a day from a single card if it was "average":

4575    2011-05-18 17:53:13    0:01:15    5366    0.08218412    124940    confirmed

The blocks can't just be "skipped" on a whim for a pool, sometimes you'll be lucky and sometimes not, but the scoring method doesn't change results much in the long term if you stick with it.

If you're talking about skipping blocks you might want to look into how bitcoin works again...

Hello I just jumped on to this pool.

On average, how much is each share worth? Does this sort of statistic even make sense or does it change too much in time?

if not by the program, then by user. There is "Current shares CFD:" in stat, i think users must know how big is block, so they can choose go out and wait for next round or not. Why not make some kind of alerts like 'warning: block is large'?
