Btw pool is in good condition now, feel free to connect. I'd like to say 'thank you' for all your support, although answering every email and PM was impossible.

Yes, i noticed all miners automatically connected and stopped throwing timeouts.
I assume that means mining2.bitcoin.cz will no longer be in use?

It would be best to use: api.bitcoin.cz

Is your IP whitelisted? Are you pointing your miner to api.bitcoin.cz?

I'm still up and running.

I assume you can log into your account online as you changed your password?

Ddi you see a message that your IP is whitelisted? Did you go to whatismyip to very that's the correct ip that should be listed?

On your gui miner, did you go to the Server dropdown box and choose other?

In the host name did you type api.bitcoin.cz? And of course carefully typing your username and password?

For clarification, are you talking about the website or the gui miner?

everything working great here.

one request though, if you could add total reward (confirmed + unconfirmed) to the json feed?  that would be really awesome. I check stats on the go from my phone.

Hey Slush when you get time, I noticed that in the JSON output I only get the first 24 workers reported.  The same 24 that are on the first page of the user account page.  When you have the time, can you get the remainder of the workers into the JSON feed?

API are reporting wrong miner status. flagged as "active" even if it is not for a long period of time.

Maybe it is unusable, but not *wrong*. It works as was described before; worker is 'active' when last share was submitted in less than hour. I wanted to keep that just for compatibility with deepbit format, but I think 'last share' is better to follow.

Well, 1h is kinda an overkill it's, most of the times the user would like to know it "soon". The default value on slush pool was 30 min. I agree that last share is giving way more freedom.

Hey Slush when you have time do you think you can implement a wallet lock option like BTCGUILD? If the address is changed it can't withdraw for 24hours and a notice is sent to the registered email. Could by some time for anyone that has a compromised account.

Grats Slush.

Everything seems working again (without changing anything on my mining machines).

Do you think it's really necessary to switch to a new adress like api.bitcoin.cz. I would prefer not to, as you never should change a running system.

If necessary could you explain in detail please what steps are necessary when using GUIMiner. Do we have to change the content of the 'servers.ini' file in the guiminer folder? and what changes are advisable?

Thanks
Gabi

Nice job slush! I registered yesterday because i have a dynamic ip isp (like everyone here in europe  Cheesy) and i was going to tell you that well having to pm you every time the new pm to white-list it is not a good idea  Grin But i see now that on the website the ip is automatically added as i visit it, so it work perfectly  Cheesy

On the same profile you have open for slush in guiminer now:

1. Chose "other" from the server dropdown box instead of slush's pool.
2. Under "Host:" put "api.bitcoin.cz".
3. Make sure Port is 8332
4. Username and password should have been kept from the old profile. If not, just put them in as normal for slush's pool. Same for the flags.
5. That's it.

Ho-Hum.

Unfortunately it is necessary because I need to split site/mining traffic to improve firewall rules. As is mentioned above, it is possible to configure guiminer with new address pretty easily, but I'll ask Kiv to change pool's url for next guiminer release...

Thanks, Justsomeforumuser.

What you describe is definitely the solution for the moment I used in one of my machines already and File/save settings will make it stay after a reboot of that system.

But coming back after some weeks to other machines it would be better you could use your GUIMine by intuition what means select 'Slush' and not 'Other' when you want 'Slush'.

To get 'Slush' working with 'api.bitcoin.cz' I guess you have to change the server.ini file in the guiminer folder.

The server.ini file has got server sections, the first one being:
Code:
"name": "slush's pool",
"host": "mining.bitcoin.cz",
"url": "http://mining.bitcoin.cz",
"port": 8332,
"balance_token_url": "http://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/token-manage/",
"balance_host": "mining.bitcoin.cz",
"balance_url": "/accounts/profile/json/%s"
where you have to exchange 'api' for 'mining' as I guess, correct?

So I'll teach my machines to visit "api.bitcoin.cz" instead of "mining.bitcoin.cz" - Thanks Slush
