when i use that app i get (could not load JSON. Error: the certificate for this server is invalid. you might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "mining.bitcoin.cz" which could put your confidential information at risk)

It is just because pool uses self-signed certificate. I'll add some certificate signed by authority soon, but I never did it, so I'll need some learning how to get such certificate Smiley.

"Every instance of your miner needs its own worker account"

This means i don't need to create a new worker for the second GPU, only for a second pc new worker is required, right?

Have you tried using the same credentials for both gpu's in the gui? How did that work out? Did your hash rate get halved? You need logins for each cpu.

Hi everyone.
I was just paid out my first coin.  Thank you very much.  I'm mining about 1Ghps 24/7.  I am going to be adding 2 more miners which should approach a total of 4Ghps running 24/7.  Is Slush's the right pool for me?

How do I know if I'm on Pay Per Share or Proportional?  I don't see an option even after creating a new account.

Thanks in advance.

Slush pool runs only in Proportional mode. So you won't see anywhere option to change it.

Hi folks!

I wanted to share a Windows Gadget with you, that allows you to monitor your Slush Pool performance.
Intentionally written only for my personal use it may be a nice tool for you, too.

Jade Bitcoin Gadget:
- current version 0.1
- displays your Slush account info
- provides additional info based on Slush pool account and Mt Gox
- relatively secure, only demands to know your Slush API token

So basically you don't get any info out of that gadget which you couldn't retrieve or calculate manually.

HowTo:
- download .gadget file    http://www.4shared.com/file/vb_dy1Ym/JadeBitcoinGadget.html
- enter Slush API key
- ??
- Profit!

Screenshots (parts blurred - BTC adress & worker names):

http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/1674/largeview.png

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/5724/settingsview.png

I will extend this gadget if you like it. Ideas may be detailed charts in a flyout and so on...

Feel free to:
- use it
- spread it
- report bugs
- request additional features

Personally because my company is cheap I used a free cert from StartCom.

However you could go to SSLshopper and find the best CA that is within your price range. You simply need to fill in the details, make payment using a CC (bitcoin not yet accepted) and you will get your signed cert.

P.S. I do not work for any of those companies.

Love the gadget, awesome work!  One request.  There any way to resize the gadget window other than the Small/Large size?  For those of us with a lot of workers, it'd be nice to have the whole list up at a glance instead of having to scroll through the worker list.  Also, if you have long worker names everything gets word wrapped a couple of lines in the Last Share column.

Edit: Quick question.  What's the default refresh rate on the gadget against the website?  It hard coded or something that can be edited?

Hi Meatball,

you're right, i'l take care of scrolling and worker name length Smiley
The current refresh rate is at 5 minutes, i don't know exactly what slush webserver is able to endure.
I will put a refresh button into the gadget and maybe i could make the interval configurable... i'll ask slush about the interval, fairplay ftw.

Btw...  i have moved to a new thread, using this one would confuse people.

Got a question with a round:

5360   2011-06-10 06:58:16   0:00:09   1459   none   129756    35 confirmations left

I'm thinking 1459 shares in such a short round should be worth more than "none". Can you check the calculations there?

Thats 'Total shares', I think.  Your share uploaded in that round is probably none, since it went by so quick !

(I got 'None' as well in that round).

I believe each share in that round is worth about 0.03 BTC which is pretty damn good for those who managed to put in a share.

That means your miner didn't submitted a share in time of round. You're mining with few MHash/s, correct?

Btw that does not affect your 'expected reward' in longer term. You don't need to be "in" every block to make expected income.
