both mining.bitcoin.cz & mining2.bitcoin.cz not working in miner. both works for website.
Besides it seems only some ip's get this problem. I connect from my ISP directly to slush in one system & in another through vpn. the vpn gives me an US address & miner is working fine.

All IPs sent me via PM or email until now are whitelisted. Those miners with dynamic IPs (dyndns etc) will be solved in release introducing ip whitelist on website later today.

Hi all, I just signed up at mining.bitcoin.cz but got stuck on the register worker part. It says
Worker login will be <your username>.<login suffix>
I gather the workers are the computers I have to enslave as miners? And the suffix is my own notation to keep track of them all? Why does the screen show the password like that? (seems like it should be obscured...)
thanks for your help. this can be confusing stuff to beginners.

My payout shortly before the site crash and now seems higher than usual. Normally, per block, I would get about .035BTC as my share. Before the crash I pulled at .08 and shortly after the site came back up, I got .077. My estimated reward for this block is .072.
What's the deal?

use the power of your brain and you will figure it out.. ok obviously you wanted to get an easy answer without using your own so here it is. It's called there is less total hashing power currently making your hashing power larger proportionally giving larger reward. Don't hate me because I do not support growth of your intellect by giving you easy answers.

If that's the case, and the total hashing power is down, then shouldn't the amount of blocks found go down as well, resulting in the same payouts I had before. Are you telling me that if I were the only guy on Slush, my hashing power would be so proportionally large that I would receive the full 49 coins at the rate the pool found blocks a day ago? Surely not. Just because my percentage went up doesn't mean that the pool finds blocks with 700GHash at the same rate it did with 1.5THash.

Not sure if you are trolling or not.
Your share per block goes up.
Total blocks found will go down.
Your daily payout will approx stay the same.

During the DDoS, hashrate wasn't distributed proportionally. Somebody was more lucky and was able to submit shares, somebody does not. So it's completely worthless to ask 'why my reward for block during that attack is lower/higher than usually'. Attack itself is the reason.
I'm sorry, but I'm unable to manage whitelist manually; I was literally DDoSed by IRC, PMs, emails, skype messages, jabber messages etc. Most of users is whitelisted, but please be patient, I'm now working on web interface for whitelisting IPs.

I couldn't connect either. Too dam bad, looks like I was down for some time before I woke up and realized it. Of course the site comes up just as I'm leaving the house and switched all my workers over to the Guild. Can't change it now. We'll see how it goes. Perhaps we need a seperate forum for slush's pool where communication can happen that won't affect production?

If he was still talking to you he would say yes. at the rate the pool found blocks a day ago? No, it would be at the same rate as if you were mining solo. So, before you got 0.03 each time the pool solved a block, now you get 0.06 each time the pool solves, but this happens with about half of the frequency. Do you understand now?

Still doesn`t work for me My external IP is 178.158.81.33 ... Could you, please, fix the pool trouble faster, cause I like the slush so much...
