As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.
At present, bitcoin is undergoing a transformation process, which can impact the future of bitcoin, which will be divided, in two different directions, it is difficult to talk about its value. Things are very vague. |

The price of everything is always fluctuating for different reasons, even now the price of bitcoin moves up and then down so it is to be expected that short term variations on the price are going to be there but in the long term the overall trajectory of the price is up and there is no reason to think this is going to change. |

Nobody could answer this for sure. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency that has gained value due to its supply and demand. If people's preference shifts to other altcoins such as ethereum, the demand could greatly decrease thus resulting in a huge withdrawal of people using bitcoin. Another situation is if bitcoin faces a bug, software problem that could potentially destroy it completely. I don't think one can assume a fixed time period till when bitcoin could last. |

For me In my prediction I think bitcoin will live 10-20 years from that is long years and for sure if bitcoin fdie or gone . Theres many changes in other like the their status they dont have to have. But I hope it will live long. I love bitcoin very much and I know many people love bitcoin also so we pray that bitcoin live long. I don't think it would just be 20 years. I think it would last for more years due to the innovation of both currency and technology. The price of bitcoin is getting pumped up as years go by and it brings the creator some new ideas on how to improve bitcoin so that they may avoid meeting trouble like crashing. I don't see that the price would go down so hard, it may for a little due to some problems but going so low, I don't think so. |

I don't think it will sooner crash or die or something but rest assured that bitcoin will keep on getting a higher value as years go by. There might be some obstacles they may face like legalization in each of the country but still the innovation of technology will surely make a move on making it more durable and safe. The price won't go down hard, maybe there would be some instances that it will get low but eventually going down? I disagree. |

The life of bitcoin depends on the trust of the people. Bitcoin is basically based on trust. Right now people are trusting bitcoin and so there is nothing really worth worrying. Investors and miners have always been behind the success of bitcoin. Right now even large names and banks are also rooting for the further rising of bitcoin's price. There is still no death of this invention in sight. Yes. The bitcoin existence is not in danger so far. Day by day, its supporters are increasing from different classes of society and different regions of the world. I believe that it will last till the technology exists in the world or more precisely till people have access to internet. Bitcoins amazing features will make it last for at least this century. |

It will last until a better coin emerges that will be taken by the World as an official neutral currency for all. However before that happens, bitcoin will most likely go through its glory and also become like main World currency that will be accepted in most countries and be widely used. I know that there are now this scary things like probability of fork or the price is fluctuating much, but it's nothing that could really end bitcoin out of nowhere. It will probably slowly die when its time has come, but there is still bright future as the whole cryptocurrency, blockchain technology is just beginning to go mainstream.

But it will still be called bitcoin and transactions will be automated and bitcoin will be the medium of it. Its too early to think when bitcoin will end, stop over thinking and just enjoy what bitcoin can offer. Nobody can really tell that but as long as there's the demand of the users and supply it will be all enough to bitcoin to lasts. |

I doubt that merchants are preferring Bitcoin over other centralised payment processor atleast in my country. People are more willing to pay fiat than a Bitcoin for a service. Reason being with Bitcoin, your money grows wheras fiat is inflationary thus wil lead to a decrease in value over time. Thus, merchants can't abandon centralised systems. They are definitely incorporating Bitcoin to provide another form of payment system. But they can't ignore other payment processors. This will affect their business. |
