The price of bitcoin can go up or down that is true for any investment but as long as the overall trajectory of the price is up then bitcoin is going to last, in fact even if the price of bitcoin remain the same as it is now I’m sure bitcoin will keep existing.

There is nothing required to explain about the long lasting of the bitcoin, because this has been into usage for less than ten years. During these time period everything happened with fluctuations and moved forward just because of the trust users had over it. Now governments have started using it for the good, which won't happen if it is not gonna grow or last long. This shows that bitcoin lasts for a longer time period that users have never thought about.

Like what you've said, it is true that bitcoin price will keep on rising for the next 20 years and i guess it will last long. As I've watched Bill Gates opinion about bitcoin, he mentioned there that nobody can stop bitcoin. That means it's unpredictable and we don't even know how long will it end. Despite irregularities of the rate, it's still useful for the people. I think half and half of the people from here use bitcoin for a big purpose and that is to make a living,for survival. Not only 10 years, it's quite that young to predict that bitcoin can only last for 10 years. As long as there is a big market cap for bitcoin it can exist and last a lifetime. If more and more developing countries start legalizing bitcoin than there is a huge scope of bitcoin in the world and it could last for many decades. And our society are somehow accepting them as a real currency. I know in the future it will be our official currency rather than paper and coin. We will use the virtual ones.

Our currency can be digital but it surely wouldn't be bitcoins. We are controlled by the government and bitcoin is not issued by any government. We do have virtual money or digital money but it's the same thing with the fiat paper and coin that we have, just in different form.

I want to mention that bitcoin is the most successful cryptocurrency and it's also the first, but we had currencies back in the days that we thought was the best currencies. Hundreds of years ago, no one could have predicted that we are able to send money without having to meetup. No one could have predicted that we will be able to talk to each other even if we are thousands of miles apart. So if you think that bitcoin can not be replaced after a hundred years, you might want to think again and maybe even consider that technology is growing quickly.

I don't think 20 years is the maximum life span of bitcoin's value growth. The continuous influence of many people with bitcoin makes it more popular which may end up having bitcoin's price growing after all these years. The continuous innovation makes it imposible that a crash may happen because as bitcoin recieve more people, the moderator will also innovate it so that it may be able to handle large number of people. Well explained! As far as governments are concerned, they are mostly against the practice of bitcoins because bitcoins do not give them any authority over the economy or public. We can see the latest versions of the bitcoins but they won’t die forever. We have already stepped into the digital currency world.

As much as you'd love to see bitcoin to rise, you should also be prepared of that downward growth of it. You can't expect it to just rise for the next years.
