No one knows how long, but Bitcoin could last forever.
It depends on various factors.
Some governments will never accept it and others will.
Some people will never accept and others will.
As anything, it lasts only as there is demand.
So if,there is demand the price goes up but no demand it goes down.

I like your opinion regarding to demand as we all wanted to push it up to be very useful in terms of online transactions the best thing that will bring bitcoin to continue moving forward the more users to adopt the more value bitcoin will have so we wont be able to tell whether if this system will die or continue to skyhigh. |

As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.
Crashes can happen when there is bad news about Bitcoin or a fork or if some major countries banned it. Otherwise the price will always have fluctuations due to supply and demand. Overall, the price will gradually rise due to the deflationary design of Bitcoin (barring some kind of failure). As fewer coins are mined, the demand should rise and the price should rise. |

You're right. I think we can just focus on making the most out of btc while it's still here. It may crash this year or it may take a couple of years or it may not crash at all and just evolve with time. The importsnt thing is that it gives us opportunities that we should takr advantage of |

You're right. I think we can just focus on making the most out of btc while it's still here. It may crash this year or it may take a couple of years or it may not crash at all and just evolve with time. The importsnt thing is that it gives us opportunities that we should takr advantage of i think you do not need to worry, hope that bitcoin will stay here for ever and will continue giving us profit, but still it is good to focus on our job and work. so as to become more successful, i think we should also introduce bitcoin to our friends and family so that they can also start getting profit for it and make bitcoin more stronger and reliable. |

I'm currently trying to introduce bitcoin to my brother to learn about bitcoin, and I think any currency briefing will certainly get a good response, let alone bitcoin can be an asset to a very profitable business if we are able to use bitcoin well.
bitcoin will introduce person to person until it would be the last person knows so we don't know how long it could last maybe forever. |

I guess it could last, but I don't believe the "too big to fail" idea. Regulators can get it off the market really fast and if there's a sudden drop in demand, the thing will just collapse into itself.

What we are considering about is the price of bitcoin. When will bitcoin become worthless ? I am very grateful that I can make money using crypto currency. But for today I am worried about what is happening in the field of cryptography and therefore Bitcoin is at risk, in my opinion. Therefore, I Carefully earn and put everything in real money. Until I'm sure of tomorrow, I'll be cautious with the crypto currency all the time. |

I don't get it... someone would still have to make those robots, keep them working, keep the code working, provide the material for robots to work with, sell those goods,.. if it comes to that that robots would be doing all of that, well then we might aswell be taken over by a hostile AI. |

I believe that bitcoin is going to last many years even after the last coin is mined. No wonder that it will replace fiat and the existing economic structure. There might be some changes made to it as per the need which might arise in the future but I think it will last forever.

The future of bitcoin is hard to predict, for there are many issues that may affect bitcoin. But still my thoughts about how long could bitcoin last is that. If internet crashed out or disappear. That will be the possible exit of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But from the history of bitcoin anyone can easily predict out that no matter how much hard the issue come to bitcoin, it will survive in any case. You will not face any issue in bitcoin and will see its brighter future coming at front as more time is passed. Bitcoin is a stronger currency and it can survive in any condition. |

I think it will last until no one is using it and discovered another type of transaction. we could see bitcoin diminished if it was forgoten and all the users of bitcoin transfers to a new inovation of currency.

Don't think only about price guys, bitcoin's price will be good as always but there is one tast which makes me feel not so well. What will happen if someone who has really huge amount of bitcoins, for example 1000btc and after his/her death, access on that wallet will be lost? Well, 1000 is nothing but in more years, this number will grow and since bitcoin is limited supply, what will happen after those lost coins?

Well, it's really hard to speculate when, how and what will make BTC disappear. But the main point is that, as long as people are buying and using BTC as their main crypto currency, there's no reason for it to disappear. Just look on the demand, for how many years BTC has been the top among all the crypto currency. Correct, also something that people do not really understand is that if bitcoin were to fail then most cryptocurrencies will be seen with suspicious eyes by most, so it is not like bitcoin can fail and the only coin disappearing will be bitcoin, bitcoin is the point of reference when it comes to crypto, so if bitcoin fails most cryptocurrencies will disappear as well, so it is impossible to know which crypto, if any could lead the market in bitcoin absence. |
