As long as it is allowed to circulate and bitcoin has value, it can last as long as the life of the first user of bitcoin or its founders and pass it to the next generations to come. Exactly, Bitcoin is nothing but a computer code but eventually, it gained the trust and faith of the users and hence it became valuable. The case is same with traditional fiat currencies, gold or anything else. It is valuable just because we say so and no one can destroy it until and unless there is tremendous faith in it. We have seen the growth of the gold, rise of fiat currencies (after barter trade system) and now it's time for the universal currency which is not possible yet in fiat but thanks to the internet.

that is correct. Morever, when we do not discuss about the usage of bitcoin, I can guarantee that bitcoin will last forever because bitcoin is digital and it can not be harmed easily like physical property Therefore, bitcoin will last forever along with the internet

a wonderful answer indeed. If i may just add, bitcoin would have that value as long as the people has trust on the system. The support of the people is also important because for example, even though there are many altcoins that far exceeds bitcoin in terms of services that it can provide, the people still choose to use bitcoin.

Maybe when the crypto-world stops reinventing the blockchain it will stop.
Yep, that’s one of the several possibilities under which bitcoins can vanish forever. All these cases are special ones. Blockchain technology is not going to stop ever. The technical teams of the crypto world will keep upgrading them to improve this technology further and attract more investors.

I think it depends on the public interest. Bitcoin will continue to say that people will be attracted to him. And now people's interest in bitcoin is increasing so the importance of bitcoin also increases, hopefully this trend will continue for a long time, because not everyone knows and understands what bitcoin is and how to get it and use it.
A currency depends completely on the trust of the people, just look at the dollar the dollar is nowhere as valuable as people think it is but since they have nothing better then they keep believing on it, but at some point when the dollar breaks their trust once again then people will begin to look for alternatives, and for the first time in history a true option in the form of bitcoin is going to be there.

Price will always depend on its popularity, based on supply and demand not its existence. I do believe that Bitcoin can last long since it’s till gaining popularity, still gaining users and investors. It will likely stay for a while until a new digital currency dethrones. But that’s still a long way down the road. And it will not crash at a random time. If it did, there will be a rational explanation for it. It can be a discrepancy or an outside environs fucking up with it.

Bitcoin can last even for 20 years provided that the demand will continue to grow. As of now the value is really impressing that it attracts many investors but the problem is that it’s not stable and can suddenly crash that is why people tend to be afraid in investing their money but if bitcoin can prove that it can really become a good investment bitcoin will probably become a hit in the coming years.
Yes, bitcoin can survive for centuries even with unstable values. What they need is simply a good internet connection, lol. We should not be worried about the future of bitcoins or their lifetime. Simply enjoy what is available at present and stop over thinking and worrying about future.

I agree with you, maybe at this time we do not need to think much over the next 20 years and I think too far if you have such a forecast, it might be better now to do activities that can be done in bitcoin to earn income. good income from trade or investment profits.

As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.
The market value of Bitcoin can crash at any time depending on what the investors want to happen. It would require a conscious effort from basically everyone invested in Bitcoin to crash the price, meaning everyone stops buying and people keep selling. That's the only way that they would be able to crash the value, and that's nearly impossible outside of variables influencing everyone to sell instead of hold or buy. As for Bitcoin staying alive for such a long period of time, it is possible if the community wants to stay with Bitcoin for that long, and so far it looks like the community is going to keep supporting Bitcoin. I agreed on you sir, The existence was depend on the demand of the users and investors of bitcoin. And for what's happening now at the price value the community of the patronizers are intend to push bitcoin to increase its value, In fact, they are aggressive and determined to make it happen that bitcoin will reach 10,000$ this 2017.

I think it depends on you. how strongly you hold your bitcoin. bitcoin prices will continue to rise over time. if you keep it in a very long time may be a big advantage you will get. a falling bitcoin price accident may occur within a certain time. but it will not be long. bitcoin will rise and raise the votality again. better if you do not need money .. you keep your bitcoin in a long time. so when you look at bitcoin prices .. you will be surprised .. bitcoin prices are far from what you think.

Funny question … I'd agree and Follow that a bitcoin might be said to last “forever” just like 4 + 2 will equals to 6 forever. But the ability to “spend” or use the bitcoin will be much shorter.Spending bitcoin is done through the medium of DIGITAL CONTRACT of a transaction, by which the value transfer from one address to another address. For performing all these operations, you use your private key (which must be stored in some secretplace). Then the signed transaction must be broadcast onto the Bitcoin network and be “mined”. As you can see there are many things which must work together in order for you to transfer bitcoin.

I never thought that bitcoin will vanish I mean that it will lose. But as of now we think of today that this cryptocurrency is a big help for us. So if this bitcoin will last long so we are blessed. So its a blessings for us.

I think that bitcoin will exist for at least another 10 years. He has just started to develop and become famous all over the world. But it is not excluded that in the future there will be a stronger crypto currency.

Yes. There seems no such sort of thing which can demolish the future of Bitcoins. But you never know what will happen next. Looking at the way how it is gaining popularity amongst investors, it will be unjust to say that Bitcoin holds a dark future. It is just a matter of time that will prove us otherwise.

Well, there is always a risk of bad things happening, like government attacks and internal conflicts involving developers and miners. However, due to its decentralized nature, it is very unlikely that governments will shut down Bitcoin. Regarding internal conflicts, the worst thing that could happen would be another fork, in which case the market could decide which is the best.

Is only the government policies could stop growth of bitcoin thats if it possible given the decentralize nature of bitcoin , otherwise bitcoin has come to stay for a long time. Although, if it does not transform to fiat / paper money, then some day, it will lose it value either to another cryto or something replacing crpto because nothing stays permanent for ever except God.

I do not believe Bitcoin will collapse so unexpectedly. However, it is a matter of the future, but it is almost predictable that the near future with Bitcoin will be extremely developed when it is at its present level.
