I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.

holding a coins you buy that recently dumped is a nice move to protect you from a negative outcome. There are so many altcoins that are meant to pumped in a long term profit.

The rules is very simple . Buy low , sell high . Also when you bought a coin for a price , and that coin is going down , you should wait until is going back at the original price and sell that coin

You can sell them in the perfect time when Bitcoin is gaining more value. Its up to you when is your comfortable pricing for your bitcoins to sell. I would suggest to hold Altcoins like ETH because of its great reputation. ETH have the potential bloom like bitcoins. I started to collect ETH for long term investment. Collecting Bitcoin is kinda saturated now. But you can still hold bitcoins if you have any for future investment. Like I said, give Altcoins a chance. Maybe it will bloom like bitcoins, no one knows

beside holding bitcoin, we can trying to increase the amount by doing trading fiat or altcoin but we need to pick the right time to enter the market. holding bitcoin whenever the price is down and buy back later in bottom price is a good idea and maybe we are luck to get cheap price. but some of people trying to sell their bitcoin to make profit and if there is a gap between the buy and sell then i think we can try too to increase the amount.

Holding all of alt coins ETH and other coins in our portfolio including bitcoin is the best thing to do all the time. Day traders aren't just day traders, they usually have their own preferred coins to hold for a long time or they have their cold storage for each coins that they think that will grow in the future and this is what I want to tell to my friends, they don't have to rush they only need to keep on holding.

Holding is a very good thing especially at the time when the prices are falling down. It will definitely help you in earning a good amount of profit without any hard work. I think of holding as the best option for the ones who actually lack skills to do well in the world of trading. maybe that altcoin that you trade no longer support from dev or have no plan their new project if the bitcoin price continue rising up so the altcoin that you trade will go down, if you want to hold your coin the only hope can rise up the price are the whales or big investors. If I were you I'm gonna sell it if the dev no longer support this coin, if the dev support this coin and they planning their new project I'm gonna hold it.

Whatever I understand from the experience until now is we should hold the bitcoin as investment for long term purpose. I don't know why people are getting panicked about the selling as there is no reason to do that one. If I can see with my naked eyes that prices keep hiking for bitcoin then I would I worry about selling it anyway.

lol, yeah why could i sell my bitcoin if i can see with my naked eyes that the price of this bitcoin is increasing, many bitcoin holder are totally panicking when they saw that this bitcoin is dropping in the market, but why? we all have experienced and already faced those big dip before and until now it is happening again and again, but the bitcoin didnt drop too much, besides its getting more bigger and bigger in terms of its value, so i am keep holding my bitcoin until 2020 what ever it takes before and after that year.

In the past, all those investors who held bitcoin for long are now rich person. Their lives have changed in unexpected way and it has inspired a lot of others. More people are now investing in it and it is the cause why price is rising up again. Bitcoin is expected to touch 5k dollars by the end of October. I certainly not disagree with your opinion, to be fair I am almost only holding my coins but reading the news its the important thing to keep you informed what's happening on the market.

It would be much better if the investor will learn the art os staying calm under all sort of situations. If someone is just planning to hodl on for long then it is basically saving or inveting but not trading and he cannot earn as much profit out of hodling as from trading.

However, is a person does not wants to take risk then he must at least spend his money on bitcoin so that savings will do some good.

Some days we have also seen price dropping by well over $500 within 24 hours and that is certainly not some moves every trader can afford to overlook or pretend they do not realize the value of their holding is dwindling. So Hodling should be a conscious decision to keep and forget until whenever set conditions are met and that makes it unsuitable for everyone.

Holding is the easiest strategy but in this world where people want everything right now it can be a very difficult advice to follow for a significant number of persons, how many people entered the real estate market when anyone could see it was nothing but a bubble, if you want to get profits you need to enter a market before most people do and that is exactly what we have done with bitcoin.
