Does anyone have any idea how many D3s are going to be released in the past 3 batches? I was doing some calculations on difficulty and hashrate and came up with 1 GH/s adds about 22.5 to difficulty. So, one D3 would add 337.5 at 15 GH/s. I'm trying to see if it would be worth getting some in their next release.
Rumor has it; Batch 1 = 200 units Batch 2 = 3000 units Batch 3 = 3500 units If so....by your calculations an additional 2,328,750 Difficulty from current? Real numbers are: B1: 250 07/18/2017 B2: 3300 07/20/2017 B3: 35000 08/03/2017 That can't be correct. I'm fairly certain that I personally know of more than 250 units being delivered from batch 1. I'd believe 2500. Also, those batch 3 numbers are completely bogus too. The 35000 number was derived from querying some web hooks on Bitmain's site and somebody made the assumption that it represented units sold and units remaining. The people spreading this FUD are either wrong or just trying to scare others into not purchasing so that the initial batches can be more profitable for longer. 35000 units were placed in stock for the last batch. Around 25k already paid. The rest, expired USD orders. That's why this batch only accept BTC and LTC. If you don't trust my numbers, i'll come back in November and we'll see the hash rate. So there would be absolutely ZERO reason to buy this next batch again. ROI would be impossible. He's full of shit.

So, correct me if I'm wrong. Could I just use this d3 X11 to mine cannabis coin or some other X11 coin to help keep profitability up for a longer period of time? If everyone plans to use this to mine Dash, since it's the most profitable at the moment, that would keep attention away from other coins for a while. Or am I misunderstanding mining X11?
I would, of course, ultimately trade the cannabis coin for a legitimate currency like Dash or BTC.
Thoughts?

L3+ keeps its value because not much competition there.
D3 will suffer from competition because baikal,d3,10.8ghs one, 22ghs one, 30ghs one will compete with it. And god knows who will release new miners to compete with theese. There will be many more players at x11 side. and not many coins to switch if one falls. Thats the bad side of that. And if the rumours gets true baikal will make faster to compete with them and they give 2800$ for 3 giant+ 2500 for 15 giant+ today. This means they will get new player to the game.
Bitmain dropped the price by 1100usd so that makes people think. Will there be D3+ soon?
hope all get roi fast

Correct. The D3 can mine any X11-based coin, just like the L3+ can mine any Scrypt-based coin. The difference is that there aren't nearly as many good X11 coins out there to pick from.

Hi guys, i am new on the ASIC scene. I manage to pre-order 2 D3 + psu from batch 2 ( september delivery ) I have some question, as i understand D3 come like a plug and play, plug power, ethernet and i can manage this one via PHP. Wath miner this D3 use ? Can we change this one if another one got better result ? Do that remove the warranty ? The specs say 25c ambiant, so i need a maximun of 25c temp in the room where the D3 running ?

No, this should not cause any problems. The only moving parts are the fans and they can be placed in any direction. The Airflow should not be affected negatively as long as nothing is blocking it.

Also $500 a day limit. cex.io is American, there are tons of hidden fees for each stage. You load money, then buy BTC, then exchange for LTC. Each step has fees, cost me $40 to buy $500 in BTC. You have a few options to get enough by the 1st. Find an ATM, you'll pay slightly less than cex.io and then exchange on bittrex.com or another exchange. You might be limited in how much you can buy depending on your country. Use localbitcoins, hard to find a CC vendor but you have a chance. Very hard to get $1599 in LTC in 24 hours if you don't already have it. Unless you live next to an ATM.

Plug in an ethernet cable, plug in the power supply connectors to the hashboards and controller board, and then turn on the power supply. Find the miner on your local network, it should get an IP address through DHCP so you should be able to find out what it is from your router or other DHCP server (depending on the network). Once you know the IP of the miner type it into a browser and it should get you to the web interface to configure it. The user name and password should both be the word "root" without the quotes. Then you can set a static IP if you want and configure your mining pools. The miner is probably running a modified version of cgminer which will have been modified from the original in violation of the original cgminer license. The controller board will be running a minimal version of linux. You cannot really modify any of that unless you can reverse engineer it and you know how to write code and compile it. The 25 degree ambient is referring to the efficiency of the PSU at that temp. At higher temps PSU are less efficient so the miner will use more electricity. I have only owned the SHA antminers so I can't say if the LTC one is different but typically the SHA ones have a cutoff around 90˚C (board temp) where the miner will stop working if it hits that. Chip temps can and will go higher than that. Right now it is anyone's guess as to what temps these miners will like.

For perspective - Bitmain has sold probably about 20,000 L3 and L3+ units COMBINED - in many batches since they introduced the L3.
There is NO BLOODY WAY they sold 35 THOUSAND D3 units in a single batch, though 35 HUNDRED seems like a reasonable number.
With that said, 7000 (ballpark) D3 units sold, PLUS the influx already happening of DM11G units, plus however many A5's get shipped, is going to HAMMER X11 profitability by the end of October.
For perspective, in mid-July, the TOTAL DASH NETWORK HASHRATE (DASH is easily the majority of all X11 hashrate) was equal to ballpark *400* D3 units - and the DM11G units do NOT appear to have been shipping at that point.....
