bitcoin price now is bit too expensive , maybe some day we will switch to bch

it's too valuable so everyone should switch to something less valuable? why not take that to its final conclusion and go to something with a market cap of under $1000?

Hope you guys are right about BCH. I went against the crowd when the dump hype began, and bought instead. I thought I read somewhere that August 15th Bitmain/ViaBTC would make a decision about whether to support/pursue BCH further. Anyone hear something like this? It does seem like a lot of whales are gobbling up BCH, and that last graphic was proof of it. Fingers crossed.
im sure we are right...however, everyone must do their own research, we must encourage everyone to look into this and decide themselves what is the real Bitcoin.
Once they do the research and think about it, they will reach the same conclusion as us.  Smiley

Profitability on BCH is getting worse compared to BTC

Be patient, this is not a race, it is rather a marathon
The chinese mining groups can decide to start mining bitcoin cash at any time and then we will be in a serious problem.
Nowdays, the only mining group is viabtc so if we compare the hash rate of the legecy chain and the new chain we will find out that it is not even a race, Legecy bitcoin is here to stay.

I do not know where you see the only viabtc, viabtc represents 1%

Anyone know if C-Cex plans to add Bitcoin Cash and credit users who had BTC in their wallet at that time?  Or did C-Cex just spend it themselves?   {cryptopia did credit users - good of them.}

I heard that about the 15th too but couldn't find any evidence but currently the miners are loosing ALOT of money

http://fork.lol/reward/opportunity
BCH miners have currently missed out on an estimated total of $3,305,650.91

Sometimes I wonder how many actual real people are posting here and how many are fakes. (In fact sometimes I wonder how many real actual people are on any kind of social media and how many are fabricated by the click farms in China and India.)

All those posts here starting August 1st about how worthless and nonsense the Bitcoin cash is and almost hysterically encouraging selling BCH. Really nobody noticed how rather furiously forceful those posts were and still are? Nearly all of them repeating the same notion of "sell worthless bch, you will get free money". All those posts so aggressive and violent, almost religiously against Bitcoin cash.

Seemingly so much hate. But how many of those posts are real, written by real actual people? Have you really never wondered why would real actual people ever write any of that? What legitimate, rational and understandable reason would they have for such a behavior? Or are they all fabricated in a coordinated effort to make the dumb crowd think and do in a certain way? People are so incredibly easy to manipulate.

My list of 43(+3) reviewed Bitcoin forks | You don't have to download the pre-fork blockchain again for each fork! | Beware of fraudulent AWS accounts sellers and dangerous edu AWS codes! + My personal list of legit sellers and scammers | Never publicly reveal your btc addresses, ownership or any other details and stay very far away from anybody who asks you to! | The general rule of safe buying is: if the seller is a newbie, with no reputation, with no topic nor trust feedback, offering no vouches and/or selling from a locked or self-moderated topic and unwilling to go first or use escrow => AVOID. Always check the trust feedback first and make sure that you have enabled "Show untrusted feedback by default" in "Profile / Forum Profile Information".

They are either bitcoin segwit "fundamentalist" or some traders trying to drive BitcoinCash price lower so they can accumulate at very cheap price.

This debate between segwit supporters & big blocker supporters is ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as debate between religious bigots. So much hatred from both sides. Why don't bitcoin segwit & bitcoin cash just coexist together & compete in a peaceful manner & let the market decide the value of both coins.

Is this what you were referring to on the 15th Aug ?

Quote
Announcement on Erasing 148 Futures Assets on August 15th

2017-08-14 12:32:36

Dear ViaBTC users:
On 15th June 2017, ViaBTC released a “148/ETH” futures trading pair to prepare for a potential UASF activated by BIP 148, and made a series of precautions for possible risks therefrom. As stated in the official announcement:

“After 00:00 15th August 2017 (UTC Time), if the BIP148 split chain cannot last, we will cancel the “148/ETH” trading pair and all your “148” assets will be erased from your account.”

As a plan that is highly possible to split Bitcoin and therefore very dangerous for the entire Bitcoin community, BIP 148 had soon lost support and seen its failure as SegWit2x was locked in and activated according to New York Agreement. The BIP 148 chain failed to last due to lack of hashing power support.

According to our announcement, ViaBTC will put offline the 148/ETH trading pair and erase ALL 148 futures asset in your account after 00:00 15th August 2017 (UTC Time). Please make precautions for potential risks.

ViaBTC reserves the rights of final explanation for this statement.

August, 14th, 2017

This could also happen to BCH if support keeps dropping the miners are loosing so much supporting this and its only a matter of time before they have enough of loosing out and support the dominant chain a few might keep it alive though

Because the debate is not about the scaling or segwit/big blocks. It is about having control over bitcoin.

On one side, we have core devs which wrote down segwit, LN and many other cool stuff we are using right now.

On the other side, we got Jihan WU, Roger Ver, Craig Wright.

JihanWu: Owns the biggest miner manufacturer company.
Roger Ver: Early Investor, owns bitcoin.com & r/btc
Craig Wright: A clown claims to be satoshi without any proof. Not worth to be mentioned but... he seems to have an audience. (or turds)

If you recently read any r/btc stuff there are many people who want to implement LN to bcash. The same LN they hated all those time and they claim that its safer to implement LN with big blocks. Yes you heard right. I am talking about LN which they see as a centralized project. Proof? Here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6r3i8k/is_lightning_network_possible_on_bitcoin_cash_is/

Here is another: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6ru0ur/are_you_guys_against_segwit_or_lightning_because/
They are OK with LN. Incredible.

There were many threads like this. Check the comments. All of them are positive about LN.

They don't care about segwit, LN, 8mb, 1mb or anything else. They just want to have devs that they can control.

One more thing.

A recent youtube comment on the Luke Dashjr's interview. To make you see what the real problem is:

Ed17 hours ago
Broadhurst Gardens, you dumb cunt. Do you people actually know anything? China never was a communist state and past 4 decades has turned to capitalism. What makes you think created highest number of millionaires in the world which are now from China? Communism? You dumb fucks in America cant figure out anything on your own... you people are so fucking ignorant and stupid, I would have no regret getting you dumb lot into some desert and just nuking the shit out of you... this world would be a shit load nicer place without you dumb American cunts.

Satoshi's clearly stated that there should be no middle men and that Bitcoin will scale with on chain transactions only, he stated that for micro transactions you would not need to wait for confirmations, he stated that running a node is fine for initial stages to be done on cheap personal computers but that with more adoption specialized hardware would be needed.

You fuckheads just talk your propaganda, you lie to people all the time and censor on your dumb portion of the Reddit... when you are faced with actual intellectual counter arguments that negate your propaganda you resort to more lies, childish name calling, like this fucker saying how he refuses to call Bitcoin Cash by its real name... you fucking people are nothing but scum.

So go eat more of that Core shit that you've been eating for who knows how long.... you fucking lying piece of shit.

It is a war between China and USA. He hates Americans and everything they created so much, instead of creating something better, he doesn't have any problems to steal what they created. I know there is no stealing in the world of open-source. But he basically wants to copy Core's work and expect everybody to give credit to the Chinese. This is what Big Blockers are basically doing and that's why they'll fail big time.

Copy/Paste + 2x

These same names owned the same amount of btc pre-fork.
These people will not be 3rd parties controlling and monitoring transactions.
These people cannot force price changes on wallets, trades and exchanges.

segwit coin, is giving control to a 3rd party, something i am against.
They will have the power to control all crypto....no thanks

Bcc/bch, solves the problems segwit claim exist and satoshis view was the right one.

As for adding LN, rootstock or anything else 2nd layer on bch...NO chance

It depend on you what is goal you have if you need quick than do it or hold this coin for long term it will stay as altcoin. I think this coin has potential to get more value in coming days I'm holding my coin current situation is really panic and no need to take action in hurry.

And he just told me the same it wont happen even though bitmain (a huge runner for BCH) also has large stakes in RSK and that BCH could just be a trojan horse for RSK

Bitcoin Cash as got a whole lot of haters, let the coin fly, let us be decentralized. Why should we have BTC dominating the market and sucking up all Altcoins when rising.

Because because the code and hashing power are both controlled by the miners that run the network NO other crypto is like that
