Hi all, Where can I download the mining software. (I understand that it will be mined with smartphones and that's cool) Thank you in advance for your reply. Have a great one! I think that they said mining will begin on Nov 1st with mobile apps and blockchain release. CORRECT

As this is only a month away now, does anyone know what algo this will be using for mining? Would a 1080Ti mine it well?

Very excited about this project. I'll try to amass more coins before the ICO ends and I'll definitely be mining it. Can't believe I didn't find out about this one sooner!

The fact that they're honoring the 40% is amazing, that's the sort of thing that lets you know this isn't a scam. It's a legitimate project, most token sales wouldn't do such a thing for their users.
Very professional!
I agree with you. Never seen such a commitment like this before on ICO. All the respect for the team.

I will be the first one to admit that they did right by their investors. If you look a couple of pages back, I was extremely upset by the fact that some of us missed the 40% due to the site outage. However, after contacting them, they IMMEDIATELY resolved the issue and honored the 40% bonus. They could've refused but went out of their way to make things right. I have therefore gone ahead and doubled my investment. I commend the Electroneum team again for doing the right thing! Bravo!

Cryptonote Cryptonight From the tech whitepaper : One of the proof-of-work algorithms that is in line with our propositions is CryptoNight. It is designed to make CPU and GPU mining roughly equally efficient and restrict ASIC mining Cryptonight is the algo/hash.

It's not like there are no other good teams, but this one is definitely a good one! Yes, they immediately resolved the issue and pretty happy with their response and mitigating action for future contribution periods. I will very likely continue to buy more coins. Also, I would like to point out one stark distinction about this ICO in that they are not giving themselves any coins (correct if I am wrong- as I didn't see anything in the whitepaper regarding this point). One aspect of current ICOs that is extremely pissing me off is that many are not only collecting funds from the coin/token sales, but they are also allocating close to 50% of the coins to themselves as well which translates into extreme greed and the centralization of the coins - which allows for massive dumps by them. Case in point is Blackmoon Crypto.

Please note the first line of Electroneum Technical White Paper: "Electroneum’s Blockchain and Cryptonote Algorithm Technology" So just to clear things up, the algo for Electroneum is: size=15pt] CRYPTONOTE[/size] See the Electroneum Technical White Paper http://electroneum.com/technical-white-paper.pdfFYI CryptoNote is the name of the cryptocurrency technology (application layer) that Monero (and Aeon, and various others) is based on. CryptoNight is the name of the hash function that is used in the CryptoNote Proof-of-Work algorithm. • CryptoNote is the technology/application layer/frame behind Monero/Aeon/etc • CryptoNight is the hashing algorithm used by CryptoNote The "mining" is done using the cryptonight algo.

Hello,
2 Questions
1) I don't see the iOS app available yet, will it be by Nov 1 2) Without an android app, I also don't see a wallet on we website unless the token sale page doubles as this. Will a wallet be available on release? Wouldn't want to buy and not be able to store anywhere.
Thank you for your time

I just came across this headline in Yahoo Finance: "Introducing Electroneum: The First British Cryptocurrency"
I would just like to say that this is simply not true. There are numerous British cryptocurrencies and among them the one we are developing, Spectrecoin (XSPEC) which is a unique anonymous British cryptocurrency also with a mobile platform to be released.
You shouldn't mis-represent your project like this.

I thought this also. It is probably the first serious project with a decent team. Rather than a random guy.

Do not send you tokens to ETH address I was wrong I meant Electroneum ( the offline paper wallet ) . About the apple app It have been said there app is ready but it need to be at exchange first before apple approve it ( I am not 100% sure about this part as I am android user ) but I remember I have read it some where .

This is happening with most of the people as there on average ten new tokens/projects are being launched. In all this mess the really fully of potential projects are skipping away from coming in attention. This project is huge and contain high potential to become important player in the market in future. They have raised decent amount of money already.
