Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ?

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

I think yes since it just started to boom, so there is a big possibility that it will survive until 100 years or more depending also to the generations to come.

Assuming the human civilization as we know it doesn't perish completely by the time 100 years have passed since either the creation of bitcoin or this post, then there's two options. Either the banks or an international agreements starts an crusade against cryptocurrencies and bitcoin will probably recieve the most damage seeing as it's basically the biggest of them all, which could either mean a huge setback for cryptocurrencies or a total crackdown on the business, which will destroy bitcoin. It's unlikely, as it's way too fresh of an idea to just kill it before it reaches it's full potential (we'll see). That's the bad version, the good one would probably see bitcoin increasing in value and becoming either a big business path for up and coming investors. While both sound like a fantasy, the latter is more probable, although it'll take a long time and more than likely will not become so massive that it will replace regular currency. But enough of that, in short bitcoin will probably survive the next 100 years, provided we don't wipe ourselves out.

Yes, Bitcoin is completely based on technology and value. People are showing interest towards Bitcoin for its price and the technology, even till now many companies are launching blockchain based technology, so Bitcoin is going to be a future currency until human being alive on this earth.

Yes of course. I do believe and think that bitcoin can do really survive for such a long time of 100 years and I bet it can be more than that as long as the price remains attractive and the modernization of the technology continues to generate the easy access of bitcoin to many people that continuously use bitcoin which can be passed from generation to the other generation of bitcoin users which can serve as a inherited wealth obtained from the past generation. So I do really believe that bitcoin can do really survive that long.

Bitcoin has the firstmover advantage and it will be forever remembered as that. I've discussed this on multiple occasions with friends and we all came to the conclusion that whatever happens, Bitcoin will stay in power for years to come.

It may survive or it may not.  No one can tell what is going to happen on the bitcoin world for the next 100 years to come.  But we can make some speculations base on what is the current status of bitcoin is.  I can say that in my opinion that bitcoin may had the potential to last that long,  unless something unexpected would happen.

It is very difficult for that to happen, because at this moment we can not imagine the great technological advances that the generations to come will be able to enjoy. I do not even think that the current economic system can be sustainable enough to remain by then, so it could happen that a more evolved humanity could learn to live without the need for money, and then the bitcoin as currency could have lost its usefulness.

Possibly yes. Since the world is past changing its technology and i think on that year the whole world will fully inter connected by the internet network thus making crypto currency at its best and maybe the next coming 100 years the whole world becomes fully digitalised era

I think predicting the future of any sort of investment past 10 years becomes a little arbitrary.

However, I think that we can reasonably assume that if Bitcoin is around 10 years from now (as in popularly used), then it is likely to remain as a fungible medium of exchange ad infinitum.

i think  yes bitcoin is already 10year or morethan 10years, bitcoin has a big potential compare to other. i see bitcoin after 100 years still strong because many people are involve here. there are lot of investor and traders here, managers and ceos of different company is also involve here.

Surely we cannot predict the future of the cryptos but definitely we know the future benefits out of it. Bitcoins can surely give us a good profit in future and can even make our future even more stable.

Bitcoins and all other cryptos we introduced as a anonymous currency and were used as a mean of payment in the most illegal works before but now bitcoins are been used legally and have immense benefits. Bitcoins can any how disappear without any advance notice as we don't know the root of bitcoins.

Bitcoins are anonymous still and can be lost easily. The only way to keep our bitcoins safe are storing them in any hardware wallet and using them when needed but if the future for bitcoins is disturbed then surely they will cost a huge loss.

It's a question of the future, I do not think I will be like 100 years.
I guess the bitcoin would be worth 1,000,000$

If somehow bitcoin exist for many more years then surely the profits in bitcoins will be immense and even it cannot be predicted at that time. Price will be worth anything and even gold and platinum will be cheap in front of bitcoins. It depends on us about how we use bitcoins. If we are using bitcoins for some illegal work then surely we cannot predict the future of bitcoins.

There are a number of peoples who yet use bitcoins for most of the illegal works like selling/buying drugs, etc. Future for bitcoins is dark for that reason according to me. Bitcoins have a great benefits but only if we use them properly without damaging the community. I think legalization of bitcoins will help to increase the life of bitcoins.

Maybe Bitcoin can survive but you don't need to worry too much on what will happen after 100 years because that is too irrelevant. We are not already living on Earth by that time and there are so many things will happen in between. For now, you really need to think on how to earn more money in ranking up in forum or trading in Bitcoin. It is ok to plan about a year or 3 years or 5 years but not 100 years. 😀
