bitcion at 13k who's getting cold feet?

I hope my transfers go through, I'm delaying the mining equipment purchases and going to dump it all on BtC if it hits 11k

havn't you guys been selling coins regularly like I have been telling everyone for the last month!

I have all my money in money and in gear.

I have under 5k in coins

and over 50k in gear.

all paid for.

I prefer a december crash  over a january one.

and I have efficient gear.

I'm in it for the long haul, last time I sold was to buy mining gear when it was at 2k, I was going to expand with more gear with BtC at 20k, but only 20% of my holdings. I won't be selling BtC for fiat till it hits about 40k

Now I'm really fighting between buying more gear or using that money to buy Bitcoins if it hits say 11 or 12k.

Basically if I buy equipment now in bitcoins it's going to cost me 1.5 more coins than if I did at 20k - and selling off the google shares I'm only paying $4,500 in capital gains tax, vs a 1.5 BtC loss I'm already coming out ahead right there.

Part of me is telling me not to be greedy and just buy the equipment as a hardware hedge, but my other side is saying... buy more Bitcoins if it dips even lower on tuesday when the funds transfer over to my bank.

Hope it's going to paying bills or converted to some type of equity, stock, investment of some kind, because money should always be working, I don't even know what cash is. Every penny I have is always tied up in an investment vessel of some sort.

Good good good. I know it's the financial planner in me talking and all, but stale/dead money is just dumb money. Always have your money working for you. Even if it's just a crappy 1% savings account, it's still better than holding cold hard cash.

Only Crpto i hold is used to buy other crypto assets that are low in value, otherwise im still buying amd cards but prices and climbing, looks like we will be seeing another shortage in cards jan-march or longer

i only buy 8GB and up , once i hit the limit on cards with newegg (1 per 48 hrs on most RX 580s) I buy 1070s or 1070Tis that are 449 and lower

basically my goal is buy a card a day in whatever flavor

that's a wonderful rig, i think maybe the radiators should be at the other side, cards are designed to exhaust some heat at their rear not in their front...if temps are okay no worries then.

EDIT: i forgot they are water cooled haha was thinking about hybrids.

the best way to mount them is the way I did but  I could do the fans as push or pull.

Temps are under 55c  which is okay.

Those 3000 rpm fans Phil recommended finally came in.  I swapped out the ~1,600 rpm Thermaltake fans and it made all the difference.  Temps are now between 55 and 65 with the GPU fans staying at 50%.

Here are a couple of shots of the fully loaded Coloful rig:

And stats:

Also got all but 1 card in for the Onda rig.  I'm staggering Zotac 1070Ti Minis with 1070TI AMP!.

And stats:

This rig is running Delta fans with about the same specs at the fans Phil recommended (but more expensive).  Hope to have the 4th AMP! by Friday, but Christmas mail mayhem might delay it.

how are you able to hold the fans up ? , and as far as i know that ONDA board only has 2 free fan headers how do you connect 3 fans ?

Thanks to this thread and a couple other on here I bought the Onda D1800 to build my first serious mining rig (right now I've pressganged 3 GPUs across 2 desktop into mining). FWIW, there is a seller on Aliexpress that has a pretty good sale going on right now:

Thanks in advance

Newegg takes Bitcoin via Bitpay - but the last transaction I did got borked somehow and Bitpay is so far not willing to concede that THEY messed up somehow.
They keep claiming I "underpayed the invoice" somehow when I copy-pasted the amount into my wallet.
They want to refund me the "refundable amount" - but insist on charging me an ADDITIONAL transaction fee for the refund on top of the ALREADY insanely high transaction fee I had to pay for the FAILED transaction in the first place.

They are also VERY overloaded this time of year, which I suspect is part of the issue - and their "support" is being VERY VERY SLOW about dealing with issues.

In fairness, this is the first time I had an issue with Newegg/Bitpay on a bitcoin payment out of quite a few over the last couple years.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!
Like something I said? Donations gratefully accepted. LYLnTKvLefz9izJFUvEGQEZzSkz34b3N6U (Litecoin)

oh i see some kind of molex to those fan adapters , most fans come with one of those , what kind of screws are those ? do the come with the Kraze fans and how loud are they ?
I'm laready close to my limit on fan noise, I bought a few of those heavy CFM ones to cool my power supplies and they are too damn loud.
