Those 3000 rpm fans Phil recommended finally came in.  I swapped out the ~1,600 rpm Thermaltake fans and it made all the difference.  Temps are now between 55 and 65 with the GPU fans staying at 50%.

This rig is running Delta fans with about the same specs at the fans Phil recommended (but more expensive).  Hope to have the 4th AMP! by Friday, but Christmas mail mayhem might delay it.

how are you able to hold the fans up ? , and as far as i know that ONDA board only has 2 free fan headers how do you connect 3 fans ?

the scythe  ultra kaze  are the best choice as they pull  7 watts each so 3 are only 21 watts  to move 3 x 133 cfm = 400cfm

oh i see some kind of molex to those fan adapters , most fans come with one of those , what kind of screws are those ? do the come with the Kraze fans and how loud are they ?
I'm laready close to my limit on fan noise, I bought a few of those heavy CFM ones to cool my power supplies and they are too damn loud.

these are only 3000 rpm.  they are better then an avalon and you are talking about s-9 noise .

I use some scythe with 9 volts and they are nice. really nice at that voltage.

but at 12 volts they are still decent not quiet but decent.

Like Phil said, I used the included 3-pin to Molex adapters that came with the Scythe fans to connect to unused Molex connectors from the ATX PSU.

Fans are kept in place by being screwed to the aluminum angle stock (1/2" x 1/16") with 6-32 screws.

The Delta's I have are relatively low RPM @ 3,000 just like the Scythe, but cost about 50% less and move just as much air and use 0.6A as opposed to 0.7A.

I did move both the Colorful and the Onda rigs out into my garage yesterday and they were too loud sitting next to me in my home office.  I only have my water cooled rigs in my office now, and it is nice and quiet now.

I wouldn't use the 53 cfm fans on a radiator, more force is better there, but 133 cfm is pretty loud to have in your bedroom or living room imo. The Arctic F12s have kept our Rx 480 rig in the 70s and our mixed Nvidia rig in the 50s/60s temperature wise (summer temps they're abit cooler now in winter) and not been noticeable noise wise. I think they have their uses in a living space setup...

yes they do.  and can work  in some spots.

for me the scythe ultra kaze are running at 8.5 volts  and don't move 133 cfm  maybe 90 cfm  and they are in the attached garage.

I only run  a lenovo m700 tiny in the basement den  it has 4 compac sticks and  xmr mines   with a i7 cpu.
setup is whisper quiet and runs on 90 watts or less.  2 kwatts a day  costing 25 cents  and the xmr earns 1 dollar the compact sticks are pointed at bravo-mining pool

and could get a nice bonus if they hit a block  plus  they earn a few bucks a month

the garage setup is quiet enough to  allow the door to me open  and warm the den and the house .

ambient noise in the den is under 50db.

2000 CFM? Are they 120mm case fans or are they box fans?  We run 20" 2600 cfm box fans in our barn ( mostly 1 for every stack of 2 rigs) and they work great, even in the summer months we almost always had them on Medium speed. A hotter climate might need more then that, but as long as that air is getting vented outside is the most important thing.

Hey @phillipma1957 what are my chances of getting two Onda v2 8 slot boards by the end of the year?  I don't need to take delivery but want them paid for in calendar year 2017. 

I'm pretty sure I don't want to deal with risers anymore.  Just built my second four card 1080 Ti rig and the risers were a bitch.  One of them ended up being bad or incompatible and it costs me a ton of time.  Plus, risers are such a kludge when I see that I can build a multi GPU system with one of these new motherboards.
