If you be given a gift of 1BTC by someone and for you this amount is already something you did not expect. Will you sell your bitcoin right away and convert it into cash or just keep it for a better price to come or invest it or what?
If I needed it really , maybe I will sell half and invest some, so atleast I haved used the gift and also will earn in it. If the prize is 10 BTC is very meaningful, but if too small may immediately sell it. there is no other way but to sell it, there is no reason to hold it. because it is free, just enjoy it.  I'd like to hold half of it and half of it will use for trade. Because i can earn more profit with trading. Anyways its a large amount for me and other. I don't think nobody's ready for sending this large amount as a gift. This is like gift a 660 CC car to anyone and you know no one is so generous these day. |

if anyone does that then I'll use the bitcoin as well as I can, for example I'll plant some altcoin assets from the bitcoin that's shared for the future. |

no way if I get 1BTC I am not gonna risk any second of it I will buy a useful asset as soon as possible which can yield me some profit by the passing time.it will be like a passive earning but unpredictable`. but on the second thoughts I can try to put that money into some trading business as that is what taking risks is all about it can make me thousands of dollars if I got lucky and I can lose some if I played it badly but if I lost some then all I have to do is wait till I get back the full amount.

Yeah I will too keep it myself as an investment along with my other bitcoins. I will neither try to trade it or use it for buying anything till I have enough bitcoins to make money by trading or by selling my products, designs, projects and ideas for bitcoins online. |

Yeah I will too keep it myself as an investment along with my other bitcoins. What about making smart decisions and dividing your investment for new ICO/projects? Holding bitcoins are safe and good investment but your investment will grow slowly over time. |

for me 1 bitcoin is a very large amount and if I receive a one bitcoin gift from someone very unexpectedly, I will immediately sell half of it and half of it will I use for other purposes in crypto like investing and trading for example. but it would not be possible, seeing the very high bitcoin prices I think people not will give 1 bitcoin easily. Indeed, we could not hide the fact that bitcoin has a bug value for now. But, in terms of a gift we cod still give people an amount of bitcoin for them to experience the potential of bitcoin to develop and grow. They could also earn by investments, trading or transaction that could somehow give them an opportunity to earn 1 bitcoin in the future. |

i guess i withdraw the half amount to start a small yet effective business like internet caffe so that i can manage my business while still working on this forum. the other half would be holding or gamble some and trade it for fun because idont usaully so these to and i find it fun to risk some btc for posible profit. |

1 Bitcoin with the actual price is very hard to be given as a gift from someone, but it still possible to happen. If this happened to me , i would save the most part of this amount and convert only small amount to pay some bills or buying somethings. Holding actually works because the price is going up and the Bitcoin's community is growing up fastly, so the price will increase even more |

In my opinion, I will keep it with other bitcoin I have so that I can convert it into cash if the price is better and I will not waste it in any other activities that will may bitcoin will be worth it. Because we know that it is so hard to earn one bitcoin and it is not easy to give it to someone except they will be your important to you. |

As much as I love to keep this Bitcoin if the needs arises and I have to convert them to fiat currency then I will. But if I have the budget to support all my needs then I will happily keep it for another 5 to 10 years. I always want to see Bitcoin to hit it goal of having a price of a hundred thousand dollar a piece . I will be too happy to encash that 1 BTC gift by then. |

As for me, I will hold it for the meantime and watch as the market goes. If otherwise, I will invest it into other projects that might even double it for me in no distant time. I will only sell it off immidiately if am in dire need of cash. |

The best way to manage this; is by investing that very BTC1 to bitcoin mining. By the end of the year, it will make you around BTC3 you see that's a good investment. |

1/8 of that will probably exchange on local fiat or currency to buy goods for my family. another 1/8 I'll buy mining rig to earn more bitcoin. 1/2 will be invested for trading and hope to double it there. and the remaining 1/4 for saving purposes. |

I would keep and hold it for as long as possible and would sell it only when I needed fiat badly. I would value this bitcoin received as a gift more than the ones I received or earned by other means though that doesn't make any sense because all of them are same but I would do so only because it's a gift.

I btc for now is a very big gift If someone gave me at this moment I will sell the 50% portion and convert it into cash for my everyday spending and the other 50% will be invested in altcoin for profit or maybe invest in potential coin in ICO.

I would like to keep half of it, and the rest will be converted into cash. I think it is still the best thing to do for me. And then the one I converted to cash is the one I will used to buy some enough luxuries, and then, my saved bitcoin will stay there keep and safe so if ever bitcoin price pumps up I have them goes up too. I will do that because it is a gift, and gifts are supposed to be opened.  |
